    Spend 9 days exploring the dense wilderness of the Annapurna Conservation Area and visit the base camp of the 26,000 feet tall Mt. Annapurna. En route, you'll also trek to the summit of Poon Hill to catch a glorious sun rise over the entire Annapurna range, you'll visit the base camp of the massive 23,000 feet tall Mt. Machhapucchre, you'll relax in the steamy hot water springs of Jhinu Danda after an exhausting trek. Throughout the adventure, you'll be accompanied by impressive views of snow-clad, Himalayan peaks like Annapurna, Himachuli, Machhapucchre, Singu Chuli and many more.

    Destination

    This trek takes you to the base camp of Mt. Annapurna, the tenth highest mountain peak in the world. Located inside the namesake Annapurna Conservation Area, the base camp is accessible via a moderately challenging trail, passing between the twin peaks of Himachuli and Machhapucchre.

    The trail passes through tropical woods of oak, pine, bamboo and rhododendron, with barren and snow-layered landscapes dominating the view as you climb higher altitudes. The villages along the route are settled by the ethnic Gurung and Pun natives, providing an insight into the local lifestyle and culture.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Annapurna Base Camp.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited during the trek. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 60 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: 100% refund.

    For cancellations made 60-30 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: 70% refund.

    For cancellations made 29-14 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: 40% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 14 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction charge for international payments and transfers. Please check with us to find out what this charge will be for the Annapurna Base Camp trek. All refunds will be subject to a foreign currency premium/discount.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Due to the high altitude and difficulty, this trek to Annapurna Base Camp is recommended only to travellers who have prior experience of at least one high-altitude trek in the Himalayas.

    A high level of health and fitness is required to book this trek to Annapurna Base Camp. If you have any cardiac or respiratory conditions, or suffer from knee or spinal problems, please inform the tour operator and consult your doctor before booking this trip.

    Since travellers will trek to destinations from 4,000-13,000 feet, travellers who have not properly acclimatized to the high altitude may experience acute mountain sickness.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Travellers are required to bear any additional costs arising due to such a change in itinerary.

  • Day 1 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Arrive at Kathmandu

    Land at the Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu. A representative of the tour operator will escort you to a hotel in Kathmandu via a private vehicle. If your flight lands in the morning, you can spend the rest of the day at leisure. Visit Kathmandu's heritage attractions such as the Kathmandu Durbar Square or the Swayambhunath Stupa. In the evening, you'll meet the trek leader to discuss the weather and itinerary of the trek. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Day 2 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Kathmandu to Pokhara

    Early in the morning, you'll be escorted to the Kantipath bus station where you'll board a tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. You'll exit the city lights of Kathmandu and travel along winding roads through countryside Nepal. After a 7-hr drive, the bus arrives at Pokhara. In the evening, you can visit Pokhara's Phewa lakeside area. Overnight in a hotel at Pokhara.

    Day 3 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Pokhara to Ulleri

    Today marks the first trekking day of your trip to Annapurna Base Camp. Beginning from Pokhara, bright and early, you'll board a private vehicle for a 3-hr drive to the village of Hile. From here, you'll continue the journey on foot towards Ulleri. The route takes an immediate uphill path, setting the tone for the rest of your trek. Upon arriving at Ulleri, you'll get your first views of Annapurna South, Machhapucchre and Himachuli. Overnight in a tea-house at Ulleri.

    Day 4 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Ulleri to Ghorepani

    Begin ascending from Ulleri. The path takes you across the thick and dense forests of the Annapurna Conservation Area. You'll trek past several small villages, settled by farmers and shepherds and surrounded by terraced farms on mountain slopes. By late afternoon, you'll reach Ghorepani, a major rest stop for trekkers. A cloudless sunset at Ghorepani brings magnificent views of the greater Annapurna range.     Day 5 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Ghorepani to Tadapani

    You'll wake up before dawn to begin the day's trek. From Ghorepani, you'll take a steeply ascending route over Poon Hill to catch a captivating sunrise. The day offers enchanting views of multiple peaks of Annapurna, brought to life with the golden sunrise. After some time, you'll begin the descent and head towards Tadapani. En route, you'll stop to rest at Ghorepani. Overnight in a tea-house at Tadapani.

    Day 6 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Tadapani to Sinuwa

    The next section of the trek takes you across the Modi River, deeper into the Annapurna Conservation Area. After an initial stretch of downhill trekking, you'll cross a suspension bridge over the river and resume on an uphill path towards Sinuwa. En route, you'll trek past villages settled by the native Gurung people like Chhomrung and Jhinu Danda. Overnight in a tea-house at Sinuwa.

    Day 7 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Sinuwa to Deurali

    Inching up the difficulty scale, the route for today's trek to Deurali involves navigating a moderately challenging trail, especially in the final stretch of the trail where you'll encounter steep, uphill climbing. The route takes you past the villages of Bamboo and Dovan, through dense oak and pine forests. Deurali, your destination for the day, is located close to the massive Machhapucchre, offering immensely gratifying views of the peak. Overnight in a tea-house at Deurali.

    After spending close to a week hiking through the forests of the Annapurna Conservation Area, you'll finally reach the much awaited destination of Annapurna Base Camp. With breathtaking views of mountain peaks like Himachuli, Singu Chuli, Machhapucchre and many others, you'll begin trekking from Deurali. En route, you'll stop at the Machhapucchre Base Camp as well. You'll retrace your steps on the familiar route, trekking past the Machhapucchre Base Camp and Deurali, towards the village of Bamboo.     Day 10 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda

    From the village of Bamboo, you'll step out for a short walk to Jhinu Danda. The village, located on the banks of the Modi River, is home to a few hot springs.     Day 11 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Jhinu Danda to Pokhara

    Crossing the Modi River, you'll trek back from Jhinu Danda to Sewai. Exiting the Annapurna Conservation Area, you'll conclude the trek at Sewai. Here, private vehicles will be waiting to escort you back to the city lights of Pokhara. A short walk along the Phewa Lake of Pokhara brings a fitting end to the day. Overnight in a hotel at Pokhara.

    Day 12 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Pokhara to Kathmandu

In the evening, you can visit the local marketplace to shop for gifts and souvenirs. The day ends with dinner at a popular restaurant in Kathmandu. You'll dine on authentic Nepalese cuisine to a cultural show of traditional dance and music. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Day 13 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Depart from Kathmandu

    Check-out of the hotel as per your return flight timing and avail the transfer service back to Tribhuvan International Airport. Your trip ends here.

  • Day 1 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Arrive at Kathmandu

    Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Arrive at Kathmandu. If you're travelling by air, you can avail an airport transfer from the Tribhuvan International Airport. Make sure to visit the local marketplace to shop for any last minute essentials. You'll be accommodated in a deluxe hotel at Kathmandu on twin-sharing basis. Today's meal package does not include any meals. You may visit any of the restaurants in Kathmandu to have meals at your own expense.

    Day 2 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Kathmandu to Pokhara

    Overnight in a hotel at Pokhara.

    Board a tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. You'll be accommodated in a deluxe hotel at Pokhara on twin-sharing basis. Today's meal package does not include any meals. The tourist bus will make two stops at convenient locations, allowing you to have meals at your own expense.

    Day 3 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Pokhara to Ulleri

    Overnight in a tea-house at Ulleri.

    Board a private vehicle from Pokhara to Hile. Trek from Hile to Ulleri. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Ulleri. In all tea-house accommodations, if twin-sharing rooms are unavailable, you may be allocated dormitory-style rooms on multi-sharing basis. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 4 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Ulleri to Ghorepani

    Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Ghorepani. In all tea-house accommodations, washroom facilities will be common to all guests at the tea-house. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 5 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Ghorepani to Tadapani

    Overnight in a tea-house at Tadapani.

    Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Tadapani. All tea-house rooms are usually equipped with a bed, blanket and bed sheet. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals are served from the menu available at the tea-house.

    Day 6 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Tadapani to Sinuwa

    Overnight in a tea-house at Sinuwa.

    Trek from Tadapani to Sinuwa. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Sinuwa. Some travellers prefer bringing their own sleeping bags to use in tea-houses. While not included, the tour operator can help you buy or rent a sleeping bag at Kathmandu or Pokhara. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 7 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Sinuwa to Deurali

    Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Deurali. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. While non-vegetarian options are present on the tea-house menu on most days, travellers are advised to stick to vegetarian dishes for concerns of health and fitness. Egg preparations are usually available in most menus.

    Day 8 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp

    Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp. Throughout the entire trek, you'll be accompanied by an experienced, English-speaking trek leader as well as a support staff of cooks, helpers and porters. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Annapurna Base Camp. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 9 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

    Overnight in a tea-house at Bamboo.

    Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo. Since travellers will be trekking on remote routes at altitudes of 4,000-13,000 feet, availability of services will be fairly limited. Accordingly, travellers are requested to moderate expectations of comfort and luxury. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Bamboo. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 10 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda

    Overnight in a tea-house at Jhinu Danda.

    Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda. Throughout the trek, the trek leader will carry a first aid kit, including an iodine-based water purifying solution to ensure availability of safe drinking water. You'll be accommodated in a basic tea-house at Jhinu Danda. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 11 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Jhinu Danda to Pokhara

    Overnight in a hotel at Pokhara.

    Trek from Jhinu Danda to Sewai. Board a private vehicle from Sewai to Pokhara. You'll be accommodated in a deluxe hotel at Pokhara on twin-sharing basis. Today's meal package includes breakfast only. You may visit any of the restaurants in Pokhara to have meals at your own expense.

    Day 12 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Pokhara to Kathmandu

    Board a tourist bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu. You'll be accommodated in a deluxe hotel at Kathmandu on twin-sharing basis. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only. Dinner will be at a popular restaurant in Kathmandu, accompanied by a cultural show of dance and music.
