This is a paragraph with little content.

This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

Spend a week exploring the alpine terrain of the Sagarmatha National Park and visit the five, famous lakes of Gokyo. Trekking alongside the Dudhkoshi River, you'll make your way in the Khumbu valley, under the dense cover of oak, pine and magnolia trees. You'll visit the historic Rongbuk Monastery, summit the 17,500-feet tall Mt. Gokyo Ri, trek the moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier and visit the high-altitude lakes of Gokyo. Throughout the trek, you'll grab astounding views of four of the seven highest peaks in the world - Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Makalu.

NOTE: All prices in this package are subject to fluctuations based on international currency exchange rates at the time of booking.

    Destination

The trek to Gokyo valley takes you inside the Sagarmatha National Park of Nepal. Although a visually stunning trek, the valley trek is often overshadowed by the more popular Everest Base Camp trek. The valley is most famously known as the home of the five, high-altitude lakes - Longpongo, Taboche, Gokyo, Thonak and Ngozumba. The still water of these turquoise blue lakes stand in stark contrast to the backdrop of the towering Mt. Cho Oyu.

The Gokyo Lake trek is a tea-house trek. Instead of camping in tents, you'll spend the night in family-run, local tea-houses that offer basic amenities for stay and food.

    Destination highlights

    • Visit the five spectacular lakes of Gokyo.
    • Explore trails and routes in the Sagarmatha National Park.
    • Summit the 17,500 feet tall Mt. Gokyo Ri.
    • View four of the seven tallest peaks in the world.
    • Stay in basic but charming tea-houses in hillside villages.
