Day 1 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrive at the Kathmandu International Airport, where you'll be picked up by a representative of the tour operator and escorted to a hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, you'll visit a popular restaurant in Kathmandu to taste traditional cuisine with a cultural show of music and dance. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.
Day 2 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Day at Kathmandu
Today, you'll take a guided, heritage tour of the Kathmandu city. Accompanied by a guide, you'll visit monuments like the Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Pashupatinath Temple and several other local attractions. In the evening, your trek leader will have a short briefing to talk about the weather and itinerary of your upcoming trek. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.
Day 3 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Early in the morning, you'll board a shared, tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The 7-hr drive takes you out of the city limits and into countryside Nepal. You'll grab your first views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks on the horizon. In the evening, you can visit the Phewa Lake of Pokhara. Overnight in a hotel at Pokhara.
Day 4 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Pokhara to Tikhe Dhunga
Your trek to Annapurna Base Camp begins today! In the morning, the journey begins with a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. From here, you'll begin trekking and follow the route of the Modi Khola past villages like Biretanthi and Sudami. A short, 2-hr trek later, you'll reach Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight in a tea-house at Tikhe Dhunga.
Day 5 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani
Trekking among dense forests of oak and rhododendron, you'll reach the village of Ghorepani, located at the base of the 10,500 feet tall Poon Hill. En route, you'll pass several other hillside settlements like Nangethanti, where you can stop at a local tea-house for lunch. Overnight in a tea-house at Ghorepani.
Day 6 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Ghorepani to Tadapani via Poon Hill
Begin the day before dawn and make your way up Poon Hill. A 2-hr trek later, you'll reach a view point on the Poon Hill, where you can grab spectacular views of the mountains in the Annapurna range, including Mt. Fishtail and Mt. Dhaulagiri. After an early morning trek to Poon Hill, you'll return to Ghorepani and continue trekking onward to Tadapani. Overnight in a tea-house at Tadapani.
Day 7 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Tadapani to Chhomrong
The trail from Tadapani to Chhomrong will take you alongside the Modi Khola River once again. You'll cross the river over dangling suspension bridges several times before reaching your destination for the day. Views of the mighty Himal Chuli peak will greet you as you draw closer to Chhomrong. Overnight in a tea-house at Chhomrong.
Day 8 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Chhomrong to Deurali
Make a move towards the day's destination of Deurali early in the morning. Hiking past small villages of Sinuwa, Kuldi Ghar and Bamboo, you'll travel closer to the Annapurna mountains. The thick jungles surrounding the trail, primarily of pine and rhododendron bushes, often come alive with the chirping of alpine birds. You may even spot the native wildlife like the red panda among the tall trees. Overnight in a tea-house at Deurali.
Day 9 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp
After days of trekking, today, you'll finally reach the Annapurna Base Camp. The landscape will undergo a noticeable change as the overgrowth of greenery gives way to barren mountains, glacier moraine and an ocean of boulders and rocks. En route, you'll also visit the Machhapuchhare Base Camp. Stunning views of the Annapurna range will keep you company throughout the day. Overnight in a tea-house at Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 10 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Annapurna Base Camp to Sinuwa
Begin your return journey from the Annapurna Base Camp. You'll retrace your steps back over the same route until you reach the village of Sinuwa. The landscape will begin changing back to plush greenery as you descend to lower altitudes. Overnight in a tea-house at Sinuwa.
Day 11 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Sinuwa to Jhinu Danda
From Sinuwa, the day's trek will take you to the hillside village of Jhinu Danda. The trail presents a few challenging sections, where the narrow trail becomes difficult to navigate. The trek becomes considerably easier as you get closer to Jhinu Danda. At the village, you'll rest for a while and resume trekking to visit the hot water springs near the Modi Khola River. A refreshing dip in the hot water springs will relax your body after hours of trekking. Overnight in a tea-house at Jhinu Danda.
Day 12 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Jhinu Danda to Pokhara
Today, you'll conclude the trek by making your way to Nayapul. Here, a private vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Pokhara. Celebrate the end of the trek at Pokhara with your fellow travellers. After days spent in the alpine wilderness of the Himalayas, you'll welcome the comforts of the city life. Overnight in a hotel at Pokhara.
Day 13 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, you'll board a shared, tourist bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu. You'll reach the capital city by late afternoon. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.
Day 14 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Day at Kathmandu
This day is reserved as a free day to cover for any delays caused due to any unforeseen circumstances during the trek. Although accommodation for the night is not included in the package, travellers are requested to keep a day aside to account for unforeseen circumstances.
Day 15 of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: Depart from Kathmandu
Depending on your flight timings, you'll take an airport transfer back to the airport and proceed to your next destination. Your trip ends here.
