  • Trip introduction

    Embark on this 2 day adventure camping experience in remote Himalayan village on the fringes of the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. This easy trek is suitable for all age groups, and is quite a relaxing trip for those looking for a night away from the city rush. On this trip, you will get to hike in the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary and explore its flora and fauna, and get to dip your toes in the beautiful Baget river which is just 5 mins away from the campsite. You will also be treated with a variety of local cuisine, and you will get to spend a night in comfortable swiss tents.

    The following activities can be added to the itinerary: village tour with organic lunch in a pahadi house (for INR 400 per person), waterfall hike with rock climbing and rappelling (for INR 400 per person).

    Please note that a minimum of 2 travellers are required to book this Binsar camping trip.

    Destination

    Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and is home to a variety of wildlife species like leopard, barking deer, Himalayan black bear, etc. and some bird species that are unique to this region. The campsite is located just on the fringes of the sanctuary, which makes it possible for you to explore the forest in a relaxing manner. On this trip, you will spend a night in one of the least commercialised spaces in the Himalayas.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the tour guides while engaging in any adventure activity.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 7 days before check-in date of the Binsar camping trip: 90% refund.

    For cancellations made between 3-6 days before check-in date of the Binsar camping trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 2 days before check-in date of the Binsar camping trip: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All cancellations will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the camping trip at Binsar to maximize the safety of travellers and staff. Any costs arising due to such a change in the itinerary are borne by the traveller.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the Binsar camping trip.

  • Day 1 of the Binsar camping trip: Hike through the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

    You report at the Binsar campsite at noon, where you will be welcomed with refreshments. Post that you will attend a brief orientation session about the campsite and your trip. Your tents will then be allotted to you, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you can either go on a hike in the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary or can spend the time relaxing at the campsite itself. In the evening, there will be a bonfire session, after which dinner will be served to you.

    Day 2 of the Binsar camping trip: Riverside nature walk, and departure

    You will begin your day with tea and cookies, after which you will be taken for a riverside nature walk in the near the campsite. You will get to swim/play in the river. You will return to the campsite in a couple of hours where breakfast will be served to you. You will check out of the campsite by 11:00 hrs.
