  • Trip introduction

    This 3-day Binsar camping trip is an easy trip suitable for all age group. On this trip, you will get to hike deep in the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary and explore its diverse wildlife, you will also trek to a hidden waterfall, visit the pristine Sontri Village where you will get to explore the local culture, and bathe in a river in close proximity of the campsite. You will also get to see the snow capped peaks of the mighty Himalayas and you will spend 2 nights in cosy swiss tents and have bonfire sessions in the evening.

    Please note that a minimum of 2 travellers are required to book this Binsar camping trip.

    Destination

    The Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and is home to various wildlife species like leopard, barking deer, the Himalayan black bear, etc. There are also various bird species that are unique to this sanctuary. On this trip, you will spend two nights in one of the least commercialized spaces of the sanctuary, which is located on the fringes of the sanctuary. The campsite is surrounded by local organic farms and a small river just 5 min away. You will spend the nights in comfortable swiss tents that come with a bulb and couple of electric sockets.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the tour guides while engaging in any adventure activity.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 7 days before check-in date of the Binsar camping trip: 90% refund.

    For cancellations made between 3-6 days before check-in date of the Binsar camping trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 2 days before check-in date of the Binsar camping trip: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All cancellations will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the camping trip at Binsar to maximize the safety of travellers and staff. Any costs arising due to such a change in the itinerary are borne by the traveller.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the Binsar camping trip.

  • Day 1 of the Binsar camping trip: Orientation and hike to hidden waterfall

    You will report at the campsite at 12:00 hrs and attend a small orientation session about the campsite and your trip. Post which, a tent will be allotted to you. Lunch will be served to you, after which you will go for a light hike in the Binsar wildlife sanctuary. You will be taken to a hidden waterfall in the forest and you will get to see plenty of unique birds in the forest. You will return by evening and enjoy bonfire session.

    Day 2 of the Binsar camping trip: Hike to Sontri Village and Binsar Jungles

    You will begin your day with a light exercise session followed by breakfast. You will then begin your hike to the inner part of the sanctuary, deep into the forest. After a 2 hrs hike, you will reach Sontri Village and you will get to see amazing views of snow capped mountainas. You will spend a couple of hours exploring the local culture of the village. You will return to the campsite in the evening.

    Day 3 of the Bindar camping trip: Checking out of the campsite

    You will begin your day with tea and cookies, after which you will be taken to a river in the close proximity of the campsite. You will get to swim/play in the river. You will return to the campsite in a couple of hours and have your breakfast. You will check out of the campsite by 11:00 hrs.
