This half-day mountain biking trip to the World Peace Pagoda is a beautiful journey that takes you through the diverse landscapes of Nepal’s mountains as you cycle along vast plantations, waterfalls, rivers, hills and lakes.
You’ll start with a pleasant ride from Pokhara’s lake that encompasses cycling through rice paddies and terraced farms. You’ll also pass by the famous Davis Falls and catch glimpses of the Gupteshower Caves. After this, you’ll encounter a swift upslope climb before reaching the historic World Peace Pagoda.
On your return journey, you’ll pass through many tiny villages which offer you an insightful peek into the lives of the locals. Short but beautiful, this trip is ideal for adventure lovers who wish to truly explore the raw beauty of Nepal and explore its age-old culture through a single but exciting adventure.
Located at an altitude of 5249 feet, the World Peace Pagoda, also known popularly as the Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist style monument that lies on the Anadu Hill of Kaski District of Pokhara. Considered as a popular holiday destination by travelers, especially adventure enthusiasts, the route to this pagoda is filled with scenic delights.
For this journey you’ll start from the Pokhara Lake and pedal your way up to the small region of Tilahar, via the Davis Falls and the Gupteshower Caves. From there you’ll embark on a challenging upslope ride till you reach the stupa. Although a strenuous ride, once you reach the top you’ll be rewarded with brilliant views of the surrounding regions. These include the complete Pokhara city, many snow peaked Himalayan Ranges, the Fewa Lake and multiple small villages and hamlets.

Reach the bike centre early in the morning today and after undergoing a thorough briefing about your upcoming cycling adventure, grab your mountain bikes and head out to the lake.
You'll start your journey from the lakeside from where you'll pedal towards the Davis Fall and Gupteshwar Cave. From the cave you'll then move ahead towards a scenic place called Tilahar. From Tilahar you'll then face a challenging climb towards the World Peace Pagoda. However, during this ride you'll catch sight of Nepal's gorgeous countryside. Cycle along rice paddies, terraced farms and many tiny villages. Once you reach the World Peace Pagoda, from atop you'll catch spectacular views of the Annapurna Mountains and the breathtaking Fewa Lake. After visiting the pagoda you'll then make your way back down through an option of many different trails.
Once you return back to the bike centre in Pokhara, your trip comes to an end.
