  • Trip introduction

The trek to Anjaneri is a unique trek that doesn’t just take you into the forested depths of Nashik, but into the age old realms of Indian mythology! Known as the birth place of Lord Hanuman, this beautiful mountainside takes you through rain-drenched landscapes, massive rock formations and lush valleys, and gives you spectacular views of the Navara and Navari pinnacles, the Anjani Mata temple.

    Destination

Located at an altitude of 4264 feet, the Anjaneri fort is situated in the mountain range that lies between Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, and is about 20 kms away from Nashik. Your journey begins with a midnight train ride to Kasara, from where you'll proceed to the base village of Anjani via local jeeps. It is from here, through luscious monsoon forests, in the cool early hours of the morning that you will trek to the top of the Anjaneri Fort.

    Destination highlights

    • Catch glimpses of glorious mountain tops from the Anjaneri fort.
    • Visit the intricately carved Seeta Cave.
    • Trek through beautiful forested trails in the monsoon.
