    Spend 9 days exploring the dense wilderness of the Annapurna Conservation Area and visit the base camp of the 26,000 feet tall Mt. Annapurna. En route, you'll also trek to the summit of Poon Hill to catch a glorious sun rise over the entire Annapurna range, you'll visit the base camp of the massive 23,000 feet tall Mt. Machhapucchre, you'll relax in the steamy hot water springs of Jhinu Danda after an exhausting trek. Throughout the adventure, you'll be accompanied by impressive views of snow-clad, Himalayan peaks like Annapurna, Himachuli, Machhapucchre, Singu Chuli and many more.

    Destination

    This trek takes you to the base camp of Mt. Annapurna, the tenth highest mountain peak in the world. Located inside the namesake Annapurna Conservation Area, the base camp is accessible via a moderately challenging trail, passing between the twin peaks of Himachuli and Machhapucchre.

    The trail passes through tropical woods of oak, pine, bamboo and rhododendron, with barren and snow-layered landscapes dominating the view as you climb higher altitudes. The villages along the route are settled by the ethnic Gurung and Pun natives, providing an insight into the local lifestyle and culture.

  • Day 1 of Annapurna Base Camp Trek: Arrive at Kathmandu

    Land at the Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu. A representative of the tour operator will escort you to a hotel in Kathmandu via a private vehicle. If your flight lands in the morning, you can spend the rest of the day at leisure. Visit Kathmandu's heritage attractions such as the Kathmandu Durbar Square or the Swayambhunath Stupa. In the evening, you'll meet the trek leader to discuss the weather and itinerary of the trek. Overnight in a hotel at Kathmandu.

    Arrive at Kathmandu. If you're travelling by air, you can avail an airport transfer from the Tribhuvan International Airport. Make sure to visit the local marketplace to shop for any last minute essentials. You'll be accommodated in a deluxe hotel at Kathmandu on twin-sharing basis. Today's meal package does not include any meals. You may visit any of the restaurants in Kathmandu to have meals at your own expense.

    For cancellations made more than 60 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: 100% refund.

    For cancellations made 60-30 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: 70% refund.

    For cancellations made 29-14 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: 40% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 14 days before departure of the Annapurna Base Camp trek: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction charge for international payments and transfers. Please check with us to find out what this charge will be for the Annapurna Base Camp trek. All refunds will be subject to a foreign currency premium/discount.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Annapurna Base Camp.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited during the trek. Consumption of tobacco products and cigarettes is not recommended.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Due to the high altitude and difficulty, this trek to Annapurna Base Camp is recommended only to travellers who have prior experience of at least one high-altitude trek in the Himalayas.

    A high level of health and fitness is required to book this trek to Annapurna Base Camp. If you have any cardiac or respiratory conditions, or suffer from knee or spinal problems, please inform the tour operator and consult your doctor before booking this trip.

    Since travellers will trek to destinations from 4,000-13,000 feet, travellers who have not properly acclimatized to the high altitude may experience acute mountain sickness.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Travellers are required to bear any additional costs arising due to such a change in itinerary.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life during the trek to Annapurna Base Camp.
