    Head out on a cultural walk to the UNESCO's world heritage sites near Ubud, Bali. You will begin this full-day tour by visiting Tirta Empul - a Hindu Balinese water temple containing holy spring water for ritual purification. Later, you will step inside the ancient Gunung Kawi Temple comprising of 10 rock-cut shrines that are carved into niches of the cliff face. On this cultural journey, you will also visit a local school and interact with the Balinese children to learn some interesting aspect of their culture. The tour terminates after lunch at a local restaurant surrounded by beautiful rice paddy fields, while you also learn about the traditional Subak irrigation system in Bali.


    The Balinese culture is strongly influenced by the Hindu customs and traditions and has led to a wide variety of art forms in different aspect in the lives of the Balinese people. On this cultural walking tour, you will visit various UNESCO world heritage sites in such as the holy Tirta Emplu Temple and Gunung Kawi Temple, and take a sacred dip in the spring water of Tirta Emplu Temple. You will walk through the rainforest valley and stop by a gorgeous rice paddies terrace to learn about the unique Subak irrigation system of Bali.

  • Bali Cultural Sites Walking Tour

    The tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in the morning. On the way to Tampaksiring village, you will stop by a rural school to interact with the Balinese children and then proceed to visit an organic farm to learn about the coffee production in Bali. The start point of your cultural walk is Pegulingan Temple, adjacent to the sacred Tirta Empul holy spring water where you make take a religious bath. The walk continues to the ancient Gunung Kawi temple through the native villages and pristine rainforest valley. The tour terminates with beautiful views of the rice paddies while you learn about Bali's irrigation system of Subak Pulangan. After lunch in the restaurant in Laplapan village, you will be driven back to your hotel in Ubud. Your tour ends here.
