  • Trip introduction

This four-day beach backpacking trek in Karnataka takes you to the gorgeous white sand beaches and swaying coconut trees of the Arabian Sea, ending at Gokarna. During the day, you'll explore 10 beaches between Kumta and Gokarna, jump onto a ferry, let the waves lap around your ankles, and enjoy untouched beaches. The evening will be memorable as you'll camp on the beach, gathered around a crackling campfire, maybe singing songs, with the sea nearby. At night, you can choose to sleep ina tent or just lie on the sand and fall asleep with the sound of the sea in your ears. You might be able to spot dolphins, and with only 4-5 hours of trekking each day, you'll be able to end the day with a swim.

There are very few shacks on the way, and you'll have some beaches completely to yourselves. You'll start at Kumta Beach, and proceed to the beaches of Vannali, Kudle, Nirvana, Belekan, before ending at the famous beaches of Gokarna: Paradise, Half Moon and Om Beach. You'll be camping at Belekan Beach, which is a remote beach that offers a gorgeous sunset.
