This is a paragraph with little content.

This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

This 3-day Beaskund trek is one of the most sought-after treks in the Himachal region, because it is easy, starts close to Manali, and takes you up to a gorgeous glacial lake in the middle of the mountains. The lake is the spot from where the Beas river originates, and is said to be the spot where the Rishi Beas visited to bathe and meditate. On this trek, you'll walk past rumbling glaciers, through meadows dotted with wildflowers, and up to a crescent-shaped area surrounded by mountains.

    Destination

The trek to the ancient lake of Beaskund begins at Solang Nala, where you'll drive past the famous Solang Valley, which is a hub for adventure activities like skiing and paragliding. You'll start trekking from Dhundi, where the views are already stunning. You'll pass pine forests, and see towering snowy mountains in the distance. From Bakarthach, your campsite for two nights, you'll get sprawling views of the valley you just walked through, and will see Shitidhar peak and Deo tibba peak, as well as glaciers in the distance. Towards the top, the landscape is filled with boulders and sparkling streams that you'll be crossing. It's a gorgeous trek, so don't forget to take your camera!

  • Day 1 of the Beaskund trek: Trek to Bakarthach

You'l be picked up from Manali bus stand in the morning, and will board your vehicles to Solang Nala. It's a short drive of about 12 kms through gorgeous mountain scenery, and then your trek begins. You'll walk along the banks of the Beas river, and then climb to Bakarthach. Day 2 of the Beaskund trek: Beaskund day!

After an early breakfast, you'll begin your ascent to Beaskund. The trail takes you up through boulder-strewn trails, over streams of melting glacial water, and into the serene environs around Beaskund. You'll get to see views like Friendship peak and Shitidhar peak. Once you get to the lake, you'll know why the Rishi Beas visited this peaceful spot to meditate. There's silence all around, except for the rumbling of distant glaciers as they move. Flocks of sheep amble around, and if you're lucky, shepherds will invite you into their tents for a cup of hot tea. You'll eat lunch at the lake, and then head back to your campsite. You'll have the rest of the evening to relax and admire the views. Overnight in tents.

Day 3 of the Beaskund trek: Return to Manali
