    This trek to Beas Kund is short but impactful in every way. Right from the views it offers, to the trail it encompasses; you'll find yourself in the midst of some of the most beautiful terrains you've ever passed through. You'll cross sprawling meadows, camp at spots with views of the slope and the valleys you've just negotiated, and walk through oak and maple forests. The lake itself is stunning, with cold glacial waters and silence all around. You'll be able to see the majestic Deo Tibba and Indrasan peaks amongst many others.

    Located at a soaring altitude of 13,120 feet, Beaskund is an easy trek that is close to Manali. Thanks to it's height, not only will you have uninterrupted views of the Beas River and the valley below, you'll be able to see the Shitidhar and Friendship peaks up close. Your Beaskund trek begins with a drive from Manali, and then takes you through Dhundi, Bakarthach, and up to Beaskund.

  • Day 1 of the Beas Kund trek: Manali to Bakarthach

    You'll meet in Manali in the morning, and head off in vehicles on the pretty 21 km drive to Dhundi. It is from here that your scenic trek to Bakarthach begins. You'll start your trek through green meadows, ridges and calming forests. At Bakarthach, your tents will be set up, so you can leave your luggage behind and take a short walk around. There's plenty to see here, from an unparalleled view of the soaring Deo Tibba and Indrasan peaks to the glorious sunset. Enjoy an early dinner before turning in for the night. Overnight in tents.

    Spend your night in Bakarthach in a cozy dome style or alpine sharing tent. Amenities such as a separate toilet tent, utensils, tiffins, cooks and helpers will be present to make your stay more comfortable. Today’s package includes delicious vegetarian meals of lunch and dinner.

    For cancellations made 15 to 30 days before the Beaskund trek date: You will incur cancellation charges of one night.

    For cancellations made 0-15 days before the Beaskund trek: You will incur a cancellation charge equivalent to accommodation for the entire length of stay originally booked.

    No show: No refund.

    Rules on trip

    Participants must adhere to the instructions of the trip leader/guide at all times.

    Avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages on the Beaskund trek.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Any additional costs due to weather/unforeseen situations will have to be borne by the traveller.

    Keep identity card/passport with yourself while travelling.

    Participants will have to sign an indemnity form before starting the Beaskund trek.
