    A high altitude glacial lake located in the Dhauladhar range of the mighty Himalayas. An easy trek on the wildflower-dotted green slopes of Himachal. This trek to Beaskund is a wonderful opportunity to do an easy trek close to Manali, and see some of the prettiest landscape you've seen.


    One of the most alluring treks in the Kullu region, the Beaskund trek offers panoramic views of the Pir Panjal range and takes you through the picturesque Solang valley. You'll walk through enchanting, high altitude meadows, trek along the Beas river, splash through streams, and clamber over boulders. En route, you'll meet friendly shepherds and if you're lucky, you might even be invited in to have a cup of tea with them. The highlight, however, is Beaskund lake itself. This glacial lake is said to have been the meditation seat of the sage Beas, and is serene and green and unforgettable.

  • Day 1 of the Beaskund trek: Manali to Dhundi

    Today you'll arrive at Patlikuhl bus stop early in the morning. You'll be met by the operator and transferred to the campsite. After breakfast, you will take a 30 km-drive through Solang, to the start point of your trek. From here, you will begin the trek to Dhundi. The trail is not hard today, and will give you time to warm up your trekking muscles. You'll walk up gentle slopes, coming up alongside the river Byas every now and then. At Dhundi, your campsite will set up tents and you'll spend the evening relaxing in the meadow here. Overnight in tents.

    For your first night of camping, you'll be at Dhundi. You'll be staying in tents, in the middle of an alpine meadow with wild flowers dotting the grass. You'll spend the night in twin or triple sharing tents, with facilities like toilet tents and a kitchen/dining tent for your comfort.

    For cancellations made 0-15 days before departure of the Beaskund trek: No refund.

    For cancellations made 15-30 days before departure of the Beaskund trek: 50% of the amount will be refunded.

    For cancellations made 30 days or more before departure of the Beaskund trek: 90% of the amount will be refunded.

    You can also opt to shift your date to a different departure, subject to availability.

    Rules on trip

    Please ensure you do not litter. You will be expected to carry back any plastic bags you use.

    Participants must adhere to the instructions of the trip leader/guide at all times during the Beaskund trek.

    Consumption of alcoholic beverages/drugs is not permitted while on the Beaskund trek.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The supplier reserves the right to change/cancel the itinerary for the Beaskund trek without prior notice, if deemed necessary. No arguments or refunds will be entertained.

    Any event cost is exclusive of any kind of insurances or medical coverage/benefits.

    Any additional expenses which might occur due to delays, weather disruptions, medical evacuation etc. would need to be borne by the participants as per actual. All overstay due to delay beyond our control would be charged on pro-rata based as per tour cost for planned days.

    • Accommodation for one night before and after the trek in the operator's campsite near Manali. Costs INR 650 per person per night for tent stay on twin or triple sharing, bonfire, 3 meals, unlimited tea and coffee.
