    Himachal Pradesh offers many scenic treks and the Bhrigu Lake Trek is easily one of the most picturesque in that bouquet. Legend has it that Maharishi Bhrigu used to meditate near the lake. This 3-day, easy to moderate trek is open all year and is set in idyllic surroundings - making it perfect for first timers and families alike.

    Destination

    Bhrigu Lake trek is a short trek near Manali, which takes participants to the pristine Bhrigu Lake located at an elevation of 14,100 ft in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. To its east is the famous Rohtang Pass.

    On this easy-to-moderate grade trek, trekkers walk through apple orchards and a forest filled with deodhar and pine tress. The highlights of the trek are the mesmerising views at the Bhirgu Lake and a dip in the hot sulphur springs at Vashisht.

  • Day 1 of Bhrigu Lake trek: Trek from Gulaba to Rohli Khel

    Meet at Manali Mall bus stand at 9:00 AM and drive to Gulaba, which is the start point of the journey. After quick briefing session, participants will begin their trek through apple orchards and a dense forest of deodar and pine trees. In a few hours, the stunning vistas of Kullu are a refreshing sight to tired bodies. Overnight stay in tents at the campsite in Rohil Khel.

    Day 2 of Bhrigu Lake trek: Trek from Rohli Khel to Bhrigu

    After an early, sumptuous breakfast, participants begin their trek to Bhrigu Lake. Today's walk offers some beautiful views of the Himalayas and a stream crossing. After the stream, there's a slight ascent to Bhrigu Lake. After taking in the sights around the lake, participants return to the camp at Rohli Khel.

    Day 3 of Bhrigu Lake trek: Trek to Vashisht

    Today's trek is downhill, through a small meadow and a ridge, which has a steep descent. Once participants reach Vashisht, they can bathe at the famous hot sulphur springs. The day ends with a drive back to Manali.
