    Himachal Pradesh offers many scenic treks, and the Bhrigu Lake trek is easily one of the most picturesque in that bouquet. Legend has it that Maharishi Bhrigu used to meditate near the lake. This 3-day, easy to moderate trek to Bhrigu Lake is open all year and is set in idyllic surroundings - making it perfect for first timers and families alike.


    Bhrigu Lake trek is a short trek near Manali, which takes you to the pristine Bhrigu Lake located at an elevation of 14,100 ft in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. To its east is the famous Rohtang Pass.

    On this easy to moderate grade trek, you'll walk through apple orchards and pine forests, camping in scenic locations. As you approach Bhrigu Lake, the vegetation thins out and you'll catch your first glimpse of the gorgeous lake, sparkling in the sunshine.

  • Day 1 of Bhrigu Lake trek: Trek from Gulaba to Rohli Khel

    Meet at Manali Mall road bus stand at 9:00 hrs and drive to Gulaba, the start point of the Bhrigu Lake trek. This is about 25 kms away and will take just over an hour. At Gulaba, after a briefing session, you'll begin your trek. You'll walk through apple orchards, pine forests, and fresh air. By late afternoon, you'll arrive at Rohla Kholi, where your campsite is set up for the night. Overnight in tents.


    Participants sleep in sturdy tents on triple sharing basis. Couples are always accommodated on twin sharing basis.'

  • Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 24 days or more before departure for the trek to Bhrigu Lake: 95% of trek cost will be refunded.

    For cancellations made between 14-24 days before departure for the trek to Bhrigu Lake: 70% of trek/tour cost will be refunded.

    For cancellations made between 8-14 days before departure for the trek to Bhrigu Lake: 50% of trek/tour cost will be refunded.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days before departure for the trek to Bhrigu Lake: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refund amounts will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Participants must adhere to the instructions of the team leader during the Bhrigu Lake trek.

    Smoking, consumption of alcohol, narcotic drugs etc. is strictly prohibited on the Bhrigu Lake trek.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The operator reserves the right to change the Bhrigu Lake trek itinerary depending upon the weather conditions and other factors. If extra cost is incurred due to rescheduling, it will be borne by the trekker.

    Please note that sometimes an unforeseen event may force changes in the itinerary of the trek to Bhrigu Lake. In such cases, your trek leader will suggest the best alternative similar to your original itinerary.

    All the arrangements for the Bhrigu Lake trek are pre-planned and prepaid. In case of non completion of the trek to Bhrigu Lake due to any reason whatsoever there will not be any refund for any unutilized services. Any extra expense due any alteration has to be paid extra.
