Trek to Bhrigu Lake

This 4-day trek to the beautiful Bhrigu lake is a moderately challenging adventure in the Himalayas, perfect for newbies or participants with past experience looking for a fun trek.

You will traverse mixed forest of oak and pine and find commanding views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and Hampta valley at every turn.

Trekkers will love the campsite set on the pristine banks of Bhrigu lake, with its calm environs and scenic vistas. The trek also offers a chance to visit the famous hot water springs in the Vashisht village.

IMPORTANT: This is not a fixed departure trip, so a minimum group size of 5 pax is required to make a booking.

Destination

Located at an elevation of 14000 feet near the beautiful town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, Bhrigu lake is named after Maharishi Bhrigu. Participants also visit the hot water springs in Vashisht which considered holy by the locals.

The lake is on top of a mountain which is covered with snow during winters and the trail is covered with dense forest of pine, oak and cedar.

After meeting in Manali, the group heads towards the hote for an introduction session with the team, guides, cook, porters, and any other relevant members. Post the lunch session, participants collect their gear and rest, and then go on a local sightseeing tour of Manali. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Participants head to Chaudha Morh on the Rohtang-Manali highway after enjoying their breakfast. They then start trekking towards Reuli Keli, famed for its skiing slopes. The trek starts through the pine forests that lead towards the grazing meadows of Reuli Keli. You have magnificent views of the Pir Panjal Range and Hanuman Tibba. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 2 Milestone

After an early breakfast session, participants start trekking towards Bhrigu Lake. The trek starts gradually and gets steep as one climbs over the mountain ridge, which offers an amazing view overlooking the Manali valley. Participants enjoy their packed lunch in the outdoors, and set up camp at Bhirgu lake. The rest of the day is spent exploring the lake and surrounding areas and viewpoints. Dinner and overnight stay at the lake campsite.

Day 3 Milestone

Reuli Keli

Bhirgu lake

After early breakfast, participants depart for Chaudha Morh. From the road head, the group catches cabs for Vashisht village to visit the hot water springs and the temple. A dip in the hot therapeutic waters is welcome indeed! They then continue their drive to Manali and check into their hotel. The trip ends here.

If cancellation is done 30 days prior to the starting date: 100% refund

If cancellation is done 15 days prior to the starting date: 75% refund
