    One of the most exciting high-altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh, this trek to Bhrigu Lake takes you to an altitude of over 14,000 feet in just four days. As you trek under dense forests of pine trees, you’ll steadily gain altitude and catch increasingly breathtaking views of the Solang Valley. Your trek over the vast forest-covered pastures also offers amazing views of snow-capped peaks of Hanuman Tibba, Deo Tibba and Indrasan. At night, you’ll stay in tents pitched over lush meadows and drift into sleep under a sky full of stars.

    This trek to Bhrigu Lake takes you over a relatively easy to moderate trail with patches of strenuous climbs, making it perfect for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers.

    Destination

    Bhrigu Lake is a high-altitude lake in the Solang Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is named after Maharishi Bhrigu, a notable saint in Hinduism, who used to meditate on the banks of the lake. Considered holy by the locals, the lake is a popular destination for trekking enthusiasts. After hours of an exhausting trek, the stunning view of mountains reflected in the still waters of the Bhrigu Lake is extremely rewarding.

  • Day 1 of the trek to Bhrigu Lake: Arrive at Manali

    Arrive at the Manali base camp by morning. You'll spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude and preparing for the trek to Bhrigu Lake. You'll meet your fellow trekkers and the trek leader, who will conduct a quick orientation session to inform you about the trek route, essential items to carry and other important information. You can also visit the local marketplace in Manali to do any last minute shopping. Overnight at Manali in tents.

    Your trip begins as you report to the campsite at Manali. You'll be accommodated in tents at Manali on a triple-sharing basis. Sleeping bags and mattresses will be provided for a restful night's sleep. The campsite is also equipped with common kitchen/dining and toilet tents. Today's meal package includes dinner only. You may visit any of the restaurants in Manali to have additional meals at an extra cost.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Bhrigu Lake.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trek to Bhrigu Lake to maximize the safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
