    Explore Bhutan, the hermit kingdom, on this 9-day motorbiking adventure. With Royal Enfield motorbikes on hand, you'll roar through dense forests and jungles, alongside gushing waterfalls and rivers. Accompanied by an entourage of like-minded motorbikers, you'll follow an expert road captain to visit secluded destinations, from the vantage points of Thimphu to the tea gardens of Jaigaon. You'll also go on a short, 4-hr day trek in Paro to visit the Tiger's Nest monastery. As you visit popular towns and small villages in the country, you'll halt to visit landmarks like the Punakha Dzong or monasteries like the Gangtey Monastery, making memories to last a lifetime.

    Please note that price displayed is the per person price for a booking for one motorbike rider and one pillion rider.

    Please note that an additional refundable, security deposit of INR 5,000 per motorbike, not included in the cost displayed, is to be paid directly to the tour operator.

    Your 9-day adventure across Bhutan begins from Siliguri in West Bengal. With every passing day, you'll travel north towards Bhutan, riding over twisting roads and high mountains with picture perfect views of wooded hills all around you. Soon, you'll find yourself in the cool and peaceful valleys of Bhutan, surrounded by high-rising peaks carpeted with meadows and grasslands.

    Throughout the journey, you'll take in the unique culture of the country by visiting monasteries and Buddhist landmarks, built centuries ago with traditional architecture and design. You'll end your tour back at Siliguri with memories of an unforgettable adventure.

    Rules on the trip

    The motorbike rider as well as the pillion rider is required to wear a helmet at all times while riding the motorbike. A safety helmet will be provided to all travellers by the tour operator.

    Travellers are required to carry a valid, govt-issued photo ID card and a valid driver's licence.

    Travellers are required to follow all instructions of the road captain during the Bhutan motorbiking trip.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in the trip.

    Travellers getting their own motorbike must ensure that the vehicle is registered to the rider's name and all the relevant documents (pollution check, insurance and driver's licence etc) are in order.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 60 days before departure of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: 100% refund.

    For cancellations made 45-60 days before departure of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 30-44 days before departure of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 20-29 days before departure of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: 25% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 20 days before departure of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: no refund.

    In case of show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting an administration fee of INR 5,000 per person and a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. The administration fee is charged by the tour operator, the transaction fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers will be required to pay a refundable, security deposit of INR 5,000 per motorbike. Any major damage or loss to the motorbike and use of any spare parts will be deducted from the security deposit. This deposit is payable directly to the tour operator and any disputes involving the deposit will be settled between the tour operator and the traveller.

    Travellers are only allowed to store one rucksack of maximum 60 liters capacity in the support vehicle. Any extra luggage will be the responsibility of the traveller.

    If any traveller wishes to exit the tour mid-way for any medical or personal reasons, an additional charge of transporting the motorbike from the leaving point to the end point will be applicable.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Bhutan motorbiking trip due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary will be borne by the traveller.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

  • Day 1 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Arrive at Siliguri

    Arrive in Siliguri. You'll meet your road captain and fellow motorbikers, and spend the day at leisure. Rest in your hotel room or head out to explore the city. In the evening, you can test ride your allotted motorbikes in the streets of Siliguri and visit the local marketplace to shop for any last minute essentials. Overnight in a hotel at Siliguri.

    Day 2 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Siliguri to Jaigaon

    Heading north from Siliguri, you'll begin the Bhutan motorbiking adventure by riding to Jaigaon. The road cuts across acres of beautiful tea gardens on either side of the highway. Depending on time constraints, you'll either halt at Jaigaon, the town on the Indian side of the national border, or proceed further to Phuentsholing, the town on the Bhutanese side of the national border. Midway, halt at the Bhutan Gate to do the paperwork for entering Bhutan. Overnight in a hotel at Jaigaon.

    Day 3 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Jaigaon to Paro

    Cut across the mountain roads of Bhutan, with gorgeous views of dense forests all around you. On the way to Paro, the second largest town in Bhutan, you'll stop at Rinpung Dzong, a Buddhist monastery and fortress with impeccable architecture. Overnight in a hotel at Paro.

    Day 4 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Day at Paro

    Today, you'll take a break from motorbiking and embark on the Tiger's Nest trek, a short 4-hr day hike near Paro. You'll climb an uphill trail with sections of steep slopes. The later part of the stretch involves climbing over 700 steeps until you arrive at the Tiger's Nest monastery, a hilltop vantage point with blissful views of Paro and the lush, green valley. Return to Paro by late afternoon and visit the local marketplace in the evening. Overnight in a hotel at Paro.

    Day 5 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Paro to Thimphu

    Resume the motorbiking adventure and proceed from Paro to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Much of today's route passes alongside the Thimphu Chu River. With views of barren mountain slopes on one side, and the richly green valley on the other, you'll arrive at Thimphu and visit a few of the local landmarks in the city, including the Thimphu view point and museum. Overnight in a hotel at Thimphu.

    Day 6 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Thimphu to Punakha

    Riding ahead from Thimphu, you'll travel deeper into Bhutan. On today's journey to Punakha, you'll cross the Dochu-La Pass, a 10,170 feet high mountain pass, and ride over a dangling suspension bridge over the Puna Tsang Chu River. En route, you'll also halt to visit the Punakha Dzong, an administrative center that is the second oldest dzong of Bhutan. Overnight in a hotel at Punakha.

    Day 7 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Punakha to Thimphu via Phobjikha

    Travel from Punakha to the Phobjikha Valley, a bowl-shaped valley that attracts rare wildlife and birds from all over area. The winding mountain route alongside the Dang Chu River has multiple vantage points where you can stop to rest and admire gorgeous views of the mountains. En route to Phobjikha, you'll stop to visit the gigantic Gangtey Monastery. After some time to explore the valley, return to Thimphu. Overnight in a hotel at Thimphu.

    Day 8 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Thimphu to Jaigaon

    Today, you'll begin the return journey and drive back from Thimphu to Jaigaon. Make sure to start early in the morning to reach your destination on time by late evening. En route, you'll cross the Bhutan Gate and re-enter India. Overnight in a hotel at Jaigaon.

    Day 9 of the Bhutan motorbiking trip: Jaigaon to Siliguri

    On the last day of your Bhutan motorbiking adventure, return from Jaigaon to Siliguri and return your allotted motorbikes. You should reach Siliguri by late afternoon. Your trip ends here.
