    Trekking and Paragliding in Bir Biling

    This 2-day adventure in Himachal Pradesh combines the trekking through the hills of Raj Gunda and paragliding over the scenic forests of Bir. You will begin your trip with a 2-hr trek through the forests of Raj Gunda that will take you to an altitude of 8,900 feet. Hike uphill to the highest point of the Raj Gunda Valley and catch sweeping views of the forests and hills of Himachal Pradesh. Embark on an exciting session of paragliding over the mountains at Bir. You will soar through the bright and blue sky and get a bird’s eye view of the natural beauty of Himachal Pradesh. This trip also combines trekking and paragliding in Bir Biling with camping in alpine tents under the stars of the Himalayan night sky.

    A minimum of two travellers are required to book this trip.

    Destination

    Often called the paragliding capital of India, Bir is a popular destination for paragliding enthusiasts from all over the world. Fly over the village of Bir and catch splendid views of the forest-covered mountains and valleys around Bir. Accompanied by a certified paragliding pilot, you will strap on the harness and buckle up for a weightless experience in the skies of Bir. During this trip, you will also trek through the forests of Raj Gunda and hike uphill to Channa ghat, the highest spot of Raj Gunda.

    Trekking and Paragliding in Bir Biling Photos

    Arrive at the Skyview restaurant in Bir by 09:30 hrs and board vehicles that will take you to Biling. You will begin trekking towards Raj Gunda from Biling. After an initial stretch of uphill climbing, the narrow trail begins to widen and dense forests of oak and deodar begin to dominate the landscape. After trekking for a few hours, you will reach the highest point of the trek at the Channa ghat. Stop at the vantage point to catch beautiful views of the Kangra Valley and the Raj Gunda Valley. Begin descending and reach the campsite at Biling. At night, you will gather around a bonfire for dinner with the rest of your group. Overnight at Biling in tents.

    You will be accommodated in dome tents at Biling on a triple-sharing basis. Sleeping bags and mattresses will be provided to ensure a restful night's sleep. Your campsite comes with common kitchen/dining and toilet tents. Today's meal package include lunch and dinner. Lunch may be a packed lunch en route to Raj Gunda. Dinner may be served at the campsite around a bonfire, subject to suitable whether conditions.

    Wake up early and proceed to the paragliding spot. After a short briefing session with a certified paragliding pilot, you will embark on an invigorating flight of 15 to 30 minutes. The pilot will accompany you throughout the trip and guide the glider towards the landing spot. Your trip ends here.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made on or before 3 days prior to departure date of the trekking and paragliding in Bir Biling trip: 30% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 3 days prior to departure date of the trekking and paragliding in Bir Biling trip: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trip leader/tour guide during the trekking and paragliding in Bir Biling trip.

    Consumption of alcohol and narcotics is strictly prohibited during or before trekking and paragliding.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Accommodation for children younger than 6 years of age is not charged. Accommodation for children between 6 to 10 years of age is charged at a discount of 50%. Accommodation for children older than 10 years is charged at full price.

    Paragliding is a wind-dependent sport, and the tandem paragliding session may not take place as scheduled. The operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trip to ensure maximum safety for travellers as well as the staff.
