  • 5-Day Brahmatal Trek

    If you are in the mood for an adventurous trek, this high-altitude trek in the Indian Himalayas is one of the most popular, especially when the trail is covered under a thick blanket of snow. This trek allows you to visit both the high-altitude, natural lakes of Bekaltal and Brahmatal just 7 km apart from each other. Covered on three sides by dense rhododendron forests and a clearing on one side, it indeed makes for a mesmerizing place to set up camp.

    During the summer months, blooming green meadows and open fields keep you company as you make your way to Brahmatal. This is one of the few treks that you have to experience in both the summer and winter season, to truly appreciate the breathtaking beauty of Uttarakhand.

    Please note that the operator can arrange for transportation from Rishikesh/Kathgodam at an additional cost of INR 2000 per person.

    The trek to the sacred Brahmatal Lake at a height of over 12,000 feet has you traversing dense oak and rhododendron forests before opening into large meadows. The trail will reward you with a different view to keep you company on each day of your trek, from villages to dense forests, to meadows and fields as you make your way to the summit. As you conquer the peak, you are rewarded by magnificent views of Himalayan peaks like Mount Trishul and Mount Chaukhambhain in the distance.

  • Day 1 of the 5-Day Brahmatal Trek: Reach Lohajung and meet the team

    Today, you need to reach Lohajung, which is the the start point of the trek. Lohajung is approximately 200 km from Kathgodam Railway Station and is around an 8 hour drive. Check into the hotel and meet your trek team before you all sit down for dinner.

  • Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made prior to 60 days of departure date – 100% of the total trek fee will be refunded i.e. no cancellation Fees.

    For cancellations made 30-60 days from the departure date – 70% of the total trek fee will be refunded.

    For cancellations made 15-30 days from departure date – 50% of the total trek fee will be refunded.

    For cancellations made 1-15 days from departure date – No Amount will be refunded.

    You can choose to transfer your seat to your friend but he/she has to fulfill all the formalities before the day of the Event.

    Replacement would not be applicable on any public transport booked for original participant, in that case booking for the new member has to be done again.

    Rules on trip

    Participants must adhere to the instructions of the trip leader/guide at all times during the Brahmatal Trek.

    Consumption of alcoholic beverages/drugs and cigarettes during the Brahmatal Trek is strictly prohibited.

    Trek costs are exclusive of any kind of insurances or medical coverage/benefits.

    In the case of transferring your booking to a family member or friend, that person should satisfy the mandatory requirements for the Brahmatal Trek.
