• Trip introduction

This 6-day, easy to moderate Brahmatal trek is among the few Himalayan trails that can be done all year round, even during winter. You'll walk through rhododendron forests, cross pristine streams and camp by the shores of a high-altitude lake. Sounds challenging? In certain areas it sure is, but nothing a first-time trekker can't manage.

The Brahmatal trek is one of those treks that is beautiful any time of the year. During the winter, you'll be trekking across blankets of snow to a frozen lake. During summer, you'll walk through pine forests and across wide meadows to get to the clear Brahmatal lake. What stays the same is the spectacular views!

On this trek to Brahmatal, you'll camp along high-altitude lakes, cross passes that are located over 11,000 ft above sea level and see peaks that are over 22,000 ft high. Some of the peaks that are visible on this Brahmatal trek are Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nandaghunti. The remote location of the trail gives you a chance to get away from crowds of people and experience the sheer beauty of nature.
