Kolad bungee jumping itinerary

08:00 am: Arrive at the Kolad bungee jumping site.

08:00-08:30: Your instructor will brief you about the safety procedures. As you strap in and take in the gorgeous views from the platform, take a deep breath and charge yourself up before you tip yourself over the edge, free-falling from 130 feet!

09:00 am: Don’t forget to pick up your bungee jumping certificate.

Bungee jumping in Kolad costs INR 2800 per person (at the time of writing). This includes 1 bungee jump with all equipment, guidance by a trained and qualified jumpmaster, a Bungee Jump Completion Certificate, and all applicable taxes.

There are many other adventures you can book in Kolad while you’re there. Whitewater river rafting in the Kundalika is a great choice, but you will not be able to do it on the same day as your bungee jump, as river rafting in Kolad also begins at 08:00 am.

Opt to spend the night here instead. If you arrive at 08:00 on the first day, you can complete your bungee jump immediately. After that, enjoy a day of fun activities at your campsite. Different campsites offer different activities: Burma Bridge, Tarzan Swing, bumper boats, banana boat ride, etc. In the evening, you can enjoy a bonfire if the weather permits. The next morning, you can go rafting which is a thrilling adventure!

Best time to go/Weather 

Bungee jumping in Kolad is ideal all year round. However, in the winter months, you will catch splendid views of the Kundalika River and the surrounding greenery owing to the clear visibility. Monsoon is another favourite of many adventurers when the showers throw in an extra splash of thrill!

Kolad is 3 hrs/120 km from Mumbai and 3 hrs/145 km from Pune. There are a few different ways to get to Kolad.

Driving directions from Mumbai to Kolad:

Take the Mumbai-Pune highway to Panvel, and drive on for about 30 km to Khopoli. Take the exit after the first toll booth onto Khopoli-Pali road. Drive for 37 km passing Imagica and heading to Pali. Turn left at Pali onto State Highway 93. You'll pass the famous Ashtavinayak Temple - drive for about 20 km after this and then turn right towards Kolad. Driving directions from Pune to Kolad:

Take the Paud-Mulshi road and drive towards Mulshi and Tamhini Ghat. Proceed to Saje Gaon, which is about 47 km away. At Saje Gaon, turn right to get onto State Highway 93. How to reach Kolad by train:

From Mumbai, there are a number of trains to Kolad/Roha station. From both stations, there are shared auto-rickshaws.

There are no direct trains from Pune to Kolad. However, you can board any of the Pune-Mumbai trains that halt at Lonavala. There are private/shared taxis to Kolad from Lonavala.

How to reach Kolad by bus:

From Mumbai

State travel buses travelling from Mumbai to Ratnagiri will stop at Kolad, which is on Mumbai - Goa highway. The journey will take about 3 hrs. 

You can also choose to travel by private bus operators, travelling from Mumbai to Ratnagiri. The first bus from Mumbai departs at around 7:00 a.m. and the last bus departs at around 9:00 p.m. 

From Pune

State travel buses travelling from Pune towards Raigad will stop at Kolad, which is on Mumbai - Goa highway. The journey will take about 3 hrs. You can also choose to travel by private bus operators, travelling from Pune to Kolad. 

Wear a long-sleeved t-shirt/shirt along with pants and make sure you’re comfortable in what you wear. Your shoes need to be enclosed and secured to your feet. Always apply sunblock before you step out.

Your operator will provide all the required gear and equipment for bungee jumping. Other than that, you will need to carry a small backpack to carry a water bottle, some dry snacks, your personal essentials, sunscreen and mosquito repellant. It is also a good idea to carry a government-issued ID card.

There are a few basic restrictions for those who are looking to bungee jump in Kolad:

The minimum age restriction is 18 years. Younger travellers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if they wish to jump.

However Kolad has a lot to offer, including rafting on the Kundalika River, a lot of activities like rappelling, kayaking, river crossing, archery, rifle shooting and more. Camping in Kolad is also a popular option. We recommend that if you have time for 2 days, try to do more activities and experience camping. If you have time for one day only try to undertake some of the other adventure activities as well. 

Other adventure activities in Kolad include: White water or river rafting, zip line, kayaking, river crossing, jet ski, banana ride, bumper ride, rope obstacle course, commando bridge, archery and more. For travellers staying overnight, some camps also offer cricket and volleyball as well. Note: Not all camps offer all activities. Please check your trip to see what activities are available at the camp that you book. 

Yes. ALMOST all activities are possible to do in a single day. River Rafting occurs only once a day in the morning, so if you are rafting, bungee jumping can only happen in the second half. Depending on the camp you choose, you can also do some of the other activities in the second half of the day. 

Tight fitted clothes and shoes are strongly recommended for bungee jumping. Wear comfortable clothes and tuck your shirt in so it does not fly up when you decelerate. Do not wear a skirt; your clothes should not be restrictive or too loose; shoes should be flat soled and attached securely to your feet. Do not wear boots/high ankle shoes. Do not wear jewellery, unsecured glasses or even contact lenses that can cause injury or obstruct vision. If you have long hair, you must tie it up so that it does not get stuck in any of the components or hit you in the face while jumping.
