    A perfect camping trip to spend time in the proximity of the Himalayas and enjoy staying in luxurious swiss tents. During the stay, you can trek to slate mines in the foothill of Himalayas to watch the traditional mining, or take a walk down to the freshwater Manooni rivulet.

    You can also hike to the sunset point for the spectacular views of the Kangra valley and the Himalayas, or visit a shepherd village to learn about the tribal life. At the campsite, savour meals in picnic style tables perched in rustic settings with unforgettable views.


    Dharamshala is a serene hill station in Himachal Pradesh and is famous for its huge Tibetan community. The influence of Dalai Lama's teaching is conspicuous in this large community. Your campsite is located in the Kangra district of Dharamsala and is surrounded by tall mountains which are completely snow-covered during winter. You will be staying in deluxe cottage swiss tents surrounded with mountains. The washroom is attached with tents and has 24 hours hot water supply.

  • Day 1 of Camping in Dharamsala: Explore the campsite

    Check-in at the campsite by noon and settle in your luxury swiss tents. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore the beautiful destination nearby. Go trekking to the sunset point or the slate mine. You can also visit the tea garden or hike alongside the rivulet Manooni. In the evening, sit beside the bonfire and then savour dinner in picnic style. Overnight in your luxury tents.

    Check-in at the campsite in the afternoon. A non-alcoholic drink will be served on your arrival. Today's meal package includes veg or non-veg dinner. You can buy lunch at the campsite at your own expense. In the evening, tea with pakodas will be provided.

    For cancellation made 30 days before the check-in date at the campsite in Dharamsala: 90% refund.

    For cancellation made 8-30 days before the check-in date at the campsite in Dharamsala: 50% refund.

    For cancellation made 0-7 days before the check-in date at the campsite in Dharamsala: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing any general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the tour guides while engaging in any adventure activity.

    Check-in and check-out time at the campsite is 12:30 hours and 11:30 hours respectively.

    Accommodation for kids 6-12 years of age with and without extra bed is INR 1900 and INR 1150 respectively on MAP basis.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this Dharamsala camping trip due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Travellers are required to bear any additional costs arising due to such a change in itinerary.
