    Malshej Ghat Camping

    Traverse Malshej Ghat, the most gorgeous mountain pass near Mumbai and Pune, and visit Pimpalgaon Joga Dam for lakeside camping.

    Spend a night amidst the Western Ghats of Maharashtra and stay in tents beside the wide lake. You can also go boating on the lake or play fun games at the campsite. In the evening, sit before the cozy bonfire and feast on a sizzling barbeque and peppery Maharashtrian cuisines.

    Please note that the rates mentioned are for adults only. Children between the ages of 6 to 9 will be charged INR 800 for this trip.

    Destination

    Malshej Ghat is one of the prettiest mountain passes in the Western Ghats that soars to an altitude of 2250 feet. It is the most popular pass among riders from Mumbai and Pune. The whole area of the Ghat is blessed with rich biodiversity and is a great place for bird watching.

    The campsite is located near Pimpalgaon Joga Dam. You will be staying in alpine tents on a sharing basis depending on your group size. Mattresses, blankets and pillows will be provided to you for comfort.

    Malshej Ghat Camping Photos

    Arrive at the Malshej Ghat Campsite by 16:00 hrs and settle down in your tents. You can choose to explore the site, go boating or cool down with a swim. At 17:00 hrs tea and snacks will be served as you enjoy the stunning sunset. After sunset, a bonfire will be set up and hot BBQ will be served to you. Post dinner, stargaze the clear the sky and retire in your tents for the night.

    Wake up early and enjoy the sun rise after which you can freshen up and get ready for breakfast. Post breakfast you can choose from one of the many adventure and outdoor games available at the campsite such as kite flying and fishing. You will check-out from the campsite by noon. your trip ends here.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 8 days or more before departure of this Malshej Ghat camping trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 4-7 days before departure of this Malshej Ghat camping trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 4 days before departure of this Malshej Ghat camping trip: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the camp leader during the camping trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Check-in time at the campsite is 16:00 hrs and check-out time at the campsite is 11:00 hrs.

    The tour operator reserves the right to modify or cancel this Malshej Ghat camping trip. Costs arising due to such changes shall be borne by the traveller.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the Malshej Ghat camping trip.
