    New Year Camping at Prabalmachi

    Celebrate New Year 2019 with a twist by camping in the rough and tumble mountains of Sahyadri, under the star-studded night sky. On the night of 31st, you'll trek uphill past gorgeous mountain views to the Prabalmachi plateau, just in time for the crimson sunset. You'll countdown to midnight around a crackling bonfire, having merry fun to the music of the songs you love, munching on delicious BBQ snacks.

    The next day, you'll start a new day of the new year 2019 by climbing over inclining mountain slopes and scale the pinnacle of Prabalgad Fort. Photogenic views of the valley await at the top.

    Destination

    The plateau of Prabalmachi, at an elevation of 1,500 feet, stands overlooking the bright city lights, the distant mountains of the Western Ghats and the yellow lights of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The plateau is the base camp for treks to Kalavantin and Prabalgad Fort, offers breathtaking views of both destinations. The moss laden, thick Sahyadri forests are the perfect backdrop for your unique New Year 2019 celebration

    New Year Camping at Prabalmachi Photos

    Meet your fellow campers at the Panvel railway station by 18:00 hrs. You'll board a private vehicle and travel to the village of Thakurwadi. Your campsite at Prabalmachi is an easy 2-hr trek from the village. Brushing aside overgrown bushes and trees, you'll arrive at the campsite by late evening. New Year 2019 celebrations begin with a crackling bonfire and music of some of your favourite songs. Countdown to midnight and celebrate the last night of the year with your fellow campers. Overnight in tents at Prabalmachi.

    You will be accommodated in alpine tents on twin-sharing basis. The tents are equipped with blankets, bed-sheets and pillows. Today's meal package includes dinner only. BBQ snacks will also be served around the bonfire.

    Wake up early in the morning. You're going to begin the new year 2019 right with a trek to explore the Prabalgad fort. The uphill route to the fort takes you a few hours to move up, rest at the top and move down. From the base village of Thakurwadi, you'll travel back to Panvel in a private vehicle. You'll arrive at Panvel railway station by 13:00 hrs. Your trip ends here.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 10 days or more before departure of the New Year 2019 Prabalmachi camping trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 5-9 days before departure of the New Year 2019 Prabalmachi camping trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 5 days before departure of the New Year 2019 Prabalmachi camping trip: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs and tobacco products like cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the New Year 2019 Prabalmachi camping trip.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the camp leader while participating in any adventure activity.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance during the New Year 2019 Prabalmachi camping trip.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the New Year 2019 Prabalmachi camping trip to ensure safety of travellers and staff. Additional costs due to such a change in itinerary will be borne by the traveller.
