    Celebrate the last night of the year with an authentic camping experience by the Pawna Lake. At a gorgeous campsite, with views of the crimson sunset over the Sahyadri, you'll celebrate the new year 2019 with delicious BBQ snacks and a flickering bonfire. For something a bit more exciting, step on the dance floor and groove to the tunes of a live DJ. At midnight, you'll cut a cake and welcome the new year 2019 with a fireworks show.

    Located close to Lonavala, Pawna Lake is accessible via road with a 3-hr drive from Mumbai and Pune. The lake, flanked by the pinnacle of the Tung Fort on one side and sparse forests and mountains on the other, is a popular camping ground. The beautiful campsite takes you away from the city and into the mountains of Western Ghats, perfect to celebrate the new year 2019.

    You'll spend the night in alpine tents, pitched at the lakeside campsite, equipped with only a blanket and pillow. You might want to carry an extra blanket with you, since it can get quite chilly during winter nights.

  • Day 1 of New Year 2019 Pawna Lake camp: Check-in and enjoy!

    Arrive at the campsite by 16:00 hrs. Once you reach, you'll have some hot tea or coffee and settle in to your tents. After the crimson sunset, you'll gather together to celebrate the new year 2019. Step on the dance floor and groove to the DJ music. Soon, you'll be served delicious BBQ snacks. After dinner, you'll huddle around a campfire and enjoy the merry night with your fellow campers. At midnight, you'll cut a cake and celebrate with a fireworks show.     Check-in time at the campsite is 16:00 hrs. You'll be accommodated in twin, triple or quad-sharing tents that come with a blanket and pillow. Today's meal package includes evening tea/coffee with pakoras, BBQ snacks prepared at the campsite and veg/non-veg dinner. The BBQ will be made from marinated paneer and chicken with assorted vegetables.

  • Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 2 days before check-in date of the New Year 2019 Pawna Lake camp: 100% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 2 days before check-in date of the New Year 2019 Pawna Lake camp: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds for cancellation of bookings for the Pawna Lake camp are processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is prohibited during the New Year 2019 Pawna Lake camping trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the camp leader during the New Year 2019 Pawna Lake camping trip.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Check-in time at the campsite is 16:00 hrs while check-out time is 11:00 hrs. Lake check-in can be permitted, however early check-in is not allowed.

    Transport between the campsite and Lonavala can be arranged for an additional cost of approximately INR 1,000 per jeep or car with a maximum capacity of 12 travellers, one-way. If you're travelling by your own vehicle, parking at the campsite is available.

    Bookings for children younger than 5 years of age are not charged. Bookings for children older than 5 years of age are charged at full price.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the New Year 2019 Pawna Lake camping trip to maximize the safety of travellers and staff. Any costs arising due to such a change in the itinerary are borne by the traveller.
