    This 6-day trek to the Chandrakhani Pass is best suited for beginners. It is one of the most popular treks near Manali, as it is not as challenging as some other treks. During the trip, you spend the first day acclimatizing at the base camp and learning some basics. Over the next 5 days you’ll travel through some spectacular locations and landscapes while witnessing breathtaking views of mountains of Himchal Pradesh. Moreover, you’ll also catch a glimpse of the locals who live in these regions and imbibe their culture. | In short, the Chandrakhani Pass trek offers you the perfect adventurous escape far away from the pollution of the city into the nature rich parts of the mountains.

    Located in Kullu Valley, the Chandrakhani Pass is famous not only for being an easy trek for beginners but also for its religious importance as it is one of the seats of meditation for Saptarishi Jamdagini. The top of the pass offers a panoramic view of all the famous snow-capped peaks of the Manali Valley which is truly a sight to behold. The trek takes you through dense forests full of pine, fir, oak and chestnut trees and through vast lush meadows situated in the middle of a dense forest. The trek is perfect for those wanting to explore the natural landscape of the region.

  • Day 1 of the Chandrakhani Pass trek: Arrival at Kasol Base Camp and acclimatization walk

    Report at the Kasol base camp by 10:00 hrs and undergo a registration (you'll be requested to verify your medical certificate and ID proof). After that enjoy some lunch and then embark on an acclimatization walk to Chala Village. Once you return, there will be a brief session about the trek route and you'll be alotted your rucksack, gaiters etc. Overnight at the Kasol base camp.

    You'll report at the Kasol base camp by 10:00 hrs. Today's package includes lunch and dinner in vegetarian. Jain options are available on prior notice. You'll spend the night at the base camp in triple sharing tents. There are separate tents provided for men and women throughout the trek. You will also be provided with separate toilet tents throughout this trek.

  • Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 15 days before departure date of the Chandrakhani Pass trek: INR 2000 will be deducted.

    For cancellations made less than 15 days before departure date of the Chandrakhani Pass trek: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    Rescheduling the Chandrakhani Pass trek is possible for up to 6 months, however you need to inform the operator 15 days prior to departure date.

    In case of cancellation of the Chandrakhani trek due to natural calamities (such as rains, landslides, earthquakes etc) no refund is provided. Alternatives may be provided at the time of cancellation. 

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Chandrakhani Pass.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs and tobacco products like cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    It is mandatory for all participates to carry an original and photocopy of the government photo identity card (Aadhar card), a medical certificate (signed by a registered MBBS doctor) and the NOC form (printed and signed by the participant). | The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure maximum safety of travellers and will not be held responsible for any accident, mishap or loss of life or property during the trek to Chandrakhani Pass. The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the trek to Chandrakhani Pass due to any unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather or natural calamities. Travellers will bear any costs arising due to such a change in the itinerary.
