For amateur trekkers who want to get a taste of the Himalayas, there is no better start than this. On this trek, you'll travel to the dramatically pleasant meadows of Chopta, get views of snow-capped mountains in the icy waters of Deoriatal, trek to Tungnath, which is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world, and climb to Chandrashila, which is even higher than the Tungnath temple. All this, but on an easy trek that gives beginners a chance to experience mountain life at its best.

Your route takes you through the evergreen Chopta, along the banks of crystal mountain lakes, and into the misty heights of Tungnath and Chandrashila. You'll be walking through fields of rhodendron, camping alongside streams, eating under the stars, and taking in the best that the Himalayas can offer.

After meeting early in the morning at Dehradun, you'll board vehicles that'll take you to the village of Sari. The 200-km drive takes about 7-8 hrs, and is a beautiful ride that'll take you alongside the holy Ganges, across the towns of Rishikesh and Rudraprayag, through the dense forests of Rajaji National Park. You'll be accommodated in a comfortable guesthouse at Sari on twin/triple-sharing basis. Today's meal package includes dinner only, served upon arrival at Sari. However, you may stop at any of the restaurants or eateries en route to Sari to have meals at and additional cost.

All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction costs, and the cost of any travel or accommodation bookings already made by the tour operator.
Travellers can offload their luggage to personal porters/mules at an additional cost of INR 300 per day, per bag not exceeding a weight of 12 kgs.
Travellers can rent trekking shoes for an additional cost of INR 200 per trekking day, and a walking stick for an additional cost of INR 50 per trekking day. Once rented, charges will be applicable irrespective of whether the item is used or not.
Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Chopta, Chandrashila and Deoriatal.
Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.
Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek to Chopta, Chandrashila and Deoriatal.
