The first phase of this snow trek to Chopta Chandrashila is a hiking trip up to Deoriatal, a beautiful high altitude lake surrounded by emerald green forests. Chopta, also known as the mini-Switzerland of India, is next on your itinerary. It lives up to the name with its green meadows and majestic view of the Himalayan peaks around. Next, take a trek to Tungnath temple, said to house the highest Shiva shrine in the world. And finally, Chandrashila peak, standing tall at 13123 feet, is the last milestone of the Chopta Chandrashila trek, and affords you a complete 360-degree view of snow-capped peaks.

You'll meet at Haridwar railway station at 07:00 hrs and enjoy a scenic 6 hour drive to Kund. Your drive takes you along the Ganga and Alaknanda river before turning into the Mandakini valley. En route you will cross the holy towns of Rishikesh, Devprayag and Rudraprayag. At Kund, you'll spend the evening relaxing or you can warm up those muscles with a short hike by the river. Overnight in the lodge.
