• Cycling Trip on the Silk Route

This is a 9-day cycling tour that takes you through the millennia-old silk route that connected major civilizations across the Himalayas.

This 160 km ride begins at Aritar, goes right up through the India-Tibet border to Nathula Pass, and ends at Gangtok. The route offers you the thrill of high altitude cycling, and takes you to several heritage sites that give you an insight into the local culture.

With breathtaking views of picturesque valleys and meadows, this is an easy trip with smooth roads and moderate gradients, and is perfect for people of all ages.

IMPORTANT: This trip is only open to Indian nationals.

On the eastern front of Sikkim lies the less explored Silk Route which passes through one of the highest mountain passes, the Nathula pass (14,140 ft), of the Himalayas to Tibet (China).

The route takes you through breathtaking landscapes, high altitude valleys and winding roads which present a kaleidoscope of mountain ranges and scenic valleys. Passing very close to the Chumbi valley (Tibet) and Bhutan, the route gives one the thrill of seeing quite a few picturesque hamlets on the other side of the international border. This route offers us a glimpse into the untouched beauty of Sikkim.
