Trekking
This is a paragraph with little content.

This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

Explore forests so dense that they're dark even during the day! The word 'Andharban' means 'dark forest' and you'll see what it means only if you visit. During the monsoon, the vegetation turns beautifully lush and dewy, showing you all shades of green. There are waterfalls and pools everywhere, and you'll feel like you're in the middle of an adventure movie.

The route of this trek takes you down the trail for almost 4 hours, past waterfalls, and amidst butterflies, birds and flowers. It's not a hard trek because you're descending for the most part, and you get some brilliant views.

    Destination

This trail lies in the Mulshi area, close to Pune, but accessible from Mumbai and surrouding areas too. It is not a strenuous trek, but the descent can get slippery in the rains. The rocks along your route have been chiselled into stunning formations by the flow of water over the decades, and there are plenty of photography opportunities.

    Destination highlights

    • Visit the dark forest of Maharashtra
    • Get a closer look at dramatically shaped rock surfaces
    • Look out for rare butterflies and flowers
    • Take on a trek that is all descent
    • Dive into crystal clear pools en route to the bottom

  • Trek to Andharban

Your journey begins at midnight at Dadar station. Once your group is together, you begin your all-night journey to Pimpri village, about 150 kms away. You'll reach early in the morning and stop for breakfast.

After this, you'll begin your trek. Because it's all a downward route, you'll move fairly fast, but it's a four-hour trail. The route is beautiful and takes you along view points, waterfalls and pools, so you can expect to stop a lot. You'll also stop to eat your packed lunch somewhere en route.

The trek ends near Bhira Dam, where your vehicle will be waiting for you. Return to Mumbai from here.
