Found at an altitude of 10,000 feet, Dayara Bugyal is a high altitude meadow located in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. Easily accessible from Haridwar, the journey to this beautiful meadow entails driving to the Barsu Village via Rishikesh. It’s from Barsu Village that your real trekking experience begins, covering scenic locations such as Barnala Lake and crossing oak and rhododendron tree forests. From Dayara Bugyal, your adventure moves further up to the Bakaria Top that offers you an interrupted view of not only the surrounding Gangotri Ranges, but also the Bandarpoonch Peak!

Day 1 of the Dayara Bugyal Trek: Trek to Bugyal Sarai
Today you'll report early to the railway station in Haridwar. You'll be driven to Barsu village, which is about 7 hours away. Once in Barsu Village, you will set up your camp in Bugyal Sarai and spend the remainder of your day exploring the village culture it has to offer. Spend the night in tents.

Day 2 of the Dayara Bugyal Trek: Trek to Barnala Lake
Today your trekking journey begins with a trek from Barsu Village to Barnala Lake. Your route will pass through forests of oak and rhododrendon trees. Once at Barnala lake, enjoy the evening exploring its pristine beauty before setting up your tent and enjoying a delicious dinner over a bonfire. Overnight in tents.

Spend your night along the Barnala Lake in tents on twin or triple sharing. You'll have kitchen tents in which you eat your meals. For your convenience, the toilet tent is equipped with handwash and toilet rolls. Today's package includes a vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner. Day 3 of the Dayara Bugyal Trek: Trek to Dayara Bugyal
Today you trek to Dayara Bugyal. It is a 4 hour journey, consisting of steep trails and wide meadows filled with grazing cattle. This is the spot that early shepherds discovered, and came back with descriptions of a heavenly meadow. There are clear pools, flowers in the sweet grass. You'll be delighted to be camping in this place. Overnight in tents in this scenic meadow.

Day 4 of the Dayara Bugyal Trek: Bakaria Top
Today you move further high to a point called Bakaria Top, which offers a 360 degree view of not only the sprawling meadow of Dayara Bugyal, but also the Gangotri Range, but also the Bandarpoonch Peak! Return to your campsite in Dayara Bugyal before sunset. Overnight in camp tents.

Day 5 of the Dayara Bugyal Trek: Return to Barsu
Today you will trek back to Barsu Village, which takes about 4 hours. Your transport awaits to take you back. The 7-hour ride back gives you time to rest your legs and admire the views. You'll be back in Haridwar by late evening. Trip ends here.

For cancellations made 0-10 days before the departure of the Dayara Bugyal trek: No refund, but you can transfer the same to a friend.
For cancellations made 10-15 days before the departure of the Dayara Bugyal trek: 50% of the amount will be refunded, or you can move to another batch for the same trek, same season.
For cancellations made 15-30 days before the departure of the Dayara Bugyal trek: 75% of the amount will be refunded, or you can choose another trek or other batches for the same trek, same season.
For cancellations made 30 days or more before the departure of the Dayara Bugyal trek: 90% of the amount will be refunded, or you can transfer the trek to a family member, or get a voucher for the same amount, to be used in the same year.

Directions towards the Pick up Point
For air travel, the closest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport (30 kms) in Dehradun. Train travel is recommended as there are many options available. You can also take a bus from Delhi, including Volvos. The buses depart from Delhi ISBT every 30 minutes, and take about 4 to 5 hrs to cover the distance.
