    The trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp takes you to remote corners of Himachali mountains at an altitude of more than 14,000 feet. Over an itinerary of 6 days, you'll find yourself trekking in the foothills of Mt. Deo Tibba, trekking over thick snow and glacial moraine, hiking alongside gorgeous river streams and visiting emerald blue mountain lakes. As you gradually ascend over a moderately difficult trail, you'll get stunning views of Mt. Deo Tibba, standing tall with a snow-laden summit high above you. A deeply gratifying adventure, this trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp is recommended only to travellers with prior experience of at least one trek above 9,000 feet.

    Mt. Deo Tibba is the second highest peak in the state of Himachal Pradesh at a peak elevation of more than 19,000 feet. This trek to the Deo Tibba base camp takes you to the foothills of this gigantic mountain peak to showcase incredible views of its white-washed summit. Along the way, you'll also get views of Mt. Indrasan, the highest peak of Himachal Pradesh, along with the glaciers of Jagatsukh and Deo Tibba. A major highlight of this trek is the visit to Mini Chandratal, or Chota Chandratal, a high-altitude mountain lake with turquoise blue-green water.

  • Day 1 of the Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek: Manali to Chikka

    Report to Manali by early morning and travel to the village of Khanol in a taxi. After a 2-hr drive in the twisting mountain roads, you'll reach the end of the motorable road and begin trekking from Khanol. A gradual ascent through thick pine forests leads you to Chikka, your destination for the day. Overnight in tents at Chikka.

    Report to Manali. Please be sure to report to the pick-up point on time to avoid delays. A 2-hr taxi ride will take you to Khanol. Trek from Khanol to Chikka. Today's meal package includes lunch and dinner only. You'll be accommodated tents at Chikka.

    For cancellations made more than 30 days before departure of the trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp: 95% refund.

    For cancellations made 15-30 days before departure of the trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 15 days before departure of the trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be paid after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    If you wish to interact with the local natives at villages during the trek, please consult your trek leader before approaching them.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs or tobacco products like cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the Deo Tibba Base Camp trek.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    High-altitude treks may face unpredictable weather conditions that may require forced changes in the itinerary. The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of the trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Any costs arising due to such a change in the itinerary are borne by the traveller.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life and property during the trek to Deo Tibba Base Camp.
