This trek to Devkund waterfall takes you into the midst of a lush tropical forest to a secret waterfall that flows year-round. The Devkund waterfall trek is an easy 4 kms, ending at the waterfall, and can be undertaken by first-time trekkers too.
You'll have all the fun of a midnight journey to the start point of the trek, and will enjoy waking up in a small village in the morning. After a day of fun at the waterfall, you'll trek back to the village in time for a tasty Maharashtrian lunch of bhakri, zunka, and chutney. After that, you'll set off in vehicles to go back home, tired but happy.
Devkund waterfall is formed by three waterfalls coming together to cascade down over the rock cliffs, and is the origin of the Kundalika river. Hidden away in the interiors of the Western Ghats near Bhira Dam, the waterfall tumbles into a clear turquoise pool that looks almost gem-like in the middle of all that greenery. You’ll trek through the forest early in the morning, as the mist is lifting and the birds start chirping. The pool is surrounded by lush flora and fauna, and is a great way to get some fun and fresh air this weekend.
