    A classic hike for both first timers and experienced adventure seekers, the Dodital-Hanumanchatti trek is a perfect way to spend a vacation. The trek starts from the Bhagirathi valley and goes up to the lake of Dodital and crosses over at the Darwa Pass to the Yamuna watershed. If you love spending time in the outdoors, book your spot on this trek!

    Destination

    Dodital is a freshwater lake located at 10,000 feet amidst a thick forest in the state of Uttarakhand. The trek to Dodital takes you along the Assi Ganga river and offers a spectacular view of the Banderpunch range. Further on, the trek to Hanumanchatti is even more impressive as it takes you through a thick birch forest opening into the high meadows.

    Health conditions

    Participants must be in good health and reasonable physical condition. It is vital that participants with medical problems make them known to us well before departure. If you suffer from severe muscular, chest, heart or bronchial disorders, or if you are a severe asthmatic, or have high blood pressure, you are strongly advised against participating.

    Cancellation policy

    If cancellation takes place more than 45 days prior to departure, your full deposit will be returned except a processing charge of Rs. 5000.

    if cancellation takes place between 45 and 30 days prior to departure, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited

    If cancellation takes place less than 30 days prior to departure, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.

    Some trips attract a minimum processing charge – please check. The tour price is quoted as a package. No partial refunds or credit will be given for services not used.

    Please book your spot well in time as the overnight trains get filled up very quickly, sometimes even a couple of months ahead of the travel dates.

    Aquaterra Adventures India Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any expedition prior to departure (including, but not limited to, by reason of too few people booking on any tour) in which case participants will be given a refund in full. However, you will not be entitled to make any further claim for any injury, loss, expenses or damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes).

  • Day 1: Delhi to Camp Kuflon

    Board the Dehradun Shatabdi leaving Delhi at 06:55 a.m and arrive at Haridwar at 11:20 a.m. Transfer to Kuflon, a getaway for people who love space, clean air and good homely food. A 5hr drive leads us to camp Kuflon, 11 kms from Uttarkashi in the valley of the Assi Ganga. Stay overnight at Kuflon.

    Day 2: Camp Kuflon to Bevra

    Depart for Bevra - the walk is 8 kms (4-5 hrs) of which 2 kms is on the road along the Assi Ganga stream. Bevra is a camping spot, 1.5 kms ahead of Agoda village. A dip in the stream in Bevra is the best way to wash out the first day body aches.

    Day 3: Bevra to Dodital

    After an early morning breakfast, we commence the trek to Dodital, with packed lunch. The walk is gradual, and takes you through the rhododendron and oak trees that dot the trek, as well as an occasional seabuckthorn bush. There is no habitation beyond Bevra except for the shepherd shelter in Majhi. Dodital, at 10,000 ft is a freshwater lake amidst a thick jungle.     Day 4: Dodital to Darwa Pass

    The walk to Darwa Pass is about 5 kms. The entire walk is an uphill climb. It starts with the climb along the feeder to Dodital, breaking into a thick birch forest opening into the high meadows. The pass at 4150 m offers an amphitheatre view of the Bandarpunch range of peaks. The more adventurous climbers can go higher up to climb the Darwa Top and the rest can proceed to camp at Kanasar (3900m) just below the pass. Overnight in camp.

    Day 5: Kanasar to Kandoli

    The long traverse through the meadows of the Banderpunch range brings us to the beautiful grazing ground of Seema. After having lunch here we start our descend through the forest to our campsite at Kandoli, having a few summer houses. Overnight in camp.

    Day 6: Kandoli - Hunumanchatti - Delhi.

    Trek for 2 hrs to reach the roadhead at Hanumanchatti. Drive for 6 hrs to reach Dehradun and board the Shatabdi Express reaching Delhi by 10:45pm.
