    On this exciting trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls, you’ll explore the dense forests of the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. Trekking alongside railway tracks at the crack of dawn, you’ll catch spectacular views of the monsoon-fed forests over the Sahyadri mountain ranges. As the sun rises and begins to shine, you’ll navigate your way though over a well-defined trail and visit the four-tiered cascading Dudhsagar Waterfalls.

    This trek will lead you over a route of relatively moderate to easy difficulty, making it perfect for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers.

    Destination

    Located near the Karnataka-Goa state border, Dudhsagar Waterfalls is the fifth-tallest waterfall in India with the river gushing down from an elevation of 1,020 feet. The name ‘dudhsagar’ literally translates to ‘a sea of milk’, which signifies the milky white flow of the falls. In the months of monsoon, Dudhsagar becomes a popular destination for trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers who travel down from Mumbai, Pune and nearby cities.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations more than 20 days before departure of the Dudhsagar Waterfalls trek: 70% refund.

    For cancellations made 10-20 days before departure of the Dudhsagar Waterfalls trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 7-9 days before departure of the Dudhsagar Waterfalls trek: 30% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days before departure of the Dudhsagar Waterfalls trek: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Since the trek is conducted during the monsoon season, travellers are requested to carry a raincoat or umbrella and an extra pair of dry clothes with them.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.

  • Day 1 of the trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls: Depart from Pune

    Arrive at the Pune railway station by 16:10 hrs and meet your fellow trekkers and the trek leader. If you're travelling from Mumbai, you'll board the Karaikal Express that departs LTT at 12:05 hrs and arrives at Pune by 15:30 hrs. From Pune railway, station you'll board the Goa Express that departs Pune by 16:35 hrs. Overnight in transit.

    Day 2 of the trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls: Trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls!

    Early morning at the crack of dawn, you'll reach Dudhsagar. After a quick briefing session over breakfast, you'll begin trekking towards the Dudhsagar Waterfalls. After a relatively easy trek along the railway tracks, you'll reach Dudhsagar where you can spend some time having fun and admiring breathtaking views of the falls. Begin the return trek from Dudhsagar and reach Kulem by 14:00 hrs. After lunch at Kulem, you'll board the Goa Express and travel back to Pune. If you're travelling to Mumbai, you'll take a local train to Madgaon and board the Mangalore Express and travel back to Mumbai. Overnight in transit.

    Overnight in transit.

    Your trip begins from the Pune railway station by 16:10 hrs. Travel to Dudhsagar will be arranged in the 16:15 hrs Goa Express. If you're travelling from Mumbai, you'll board the Karaikal Express that departs LTT at 12:05 hrs and arrives at Pune by 15:30 hrs. No meals will be provided today, so make sure to have lunch before reporting to the Pune railway station. You may want to bring packed dinner to eat in the train journey, or choose to get meals in the train at an additional cost.

    Day 2 of the trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls: Trek to Dudhsagar Waterfalls!

    Overnight in transit.

    Today's meal package includes breakfast and lunch. You'll have breakfast at Dudhsagar Waterfalls and lunch at the Kulem railway station. You'll board the Goa Express and travel back to Pune. If you're travelling to Mumbai, you'll take a local train to Madgaon and board the Mangalore Express and travel back to Mumbai. At Kulem, you may want to buy food for a packed dinner in the train journey, or choose to get meals in the train at an additional cost.
