    Fireflies trek near Bhandardara

    Embark on this short weekend trip near Bhandardara and spot thousands of bioluminescent fireflies. Your trek begins in Samrad and takes you to Kokan Kada through dense forests of the Western Ghats. On the trail, you will see the joyous dance of the fireflies all around you. You'll also get to explore the Sandhan Valley and do a rappelling course on Day 2.

    Bhandardara is located in close proximity to Mumbai and is a popular spot for fireflies spotting. Your campsite for this trek is located in a nearby village of Samrad, on the slopes of the mighty Western Ghats. It is surrounded by thick forests which is home to countless fireflies.

    Fireflies trek near Bhandardara Photos

    You will report to Kasara Railway Station at 14:00 hrs, after which you will be driven to Samrad. From there, you will begin your evening trek to Kokan Kada and you will get to see the amazing lightshow of fireflies all around you. You will return to Samrad by early night. Overnight in tents/homestay at Samrad.

    Today, you will head out to explore Sandhan Valley and also engage in the thrilling Rappelling course. After that, you will return to Samrad and you will be driven to Kasara Railway Station from there. Your trip ends here.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 15 days before departure of the Fireflies Trek near Bhandardara: 70% refund.

    For cancellations made 15-10 days before departure of the Fireflies Trek near Bhandardara: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 9-7 days before departure of the Fireflies Trek near Bhandardara: 30% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days before departure of the Fireflies Trek near Bhandardara: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    No refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled due to weather conditions or any unforeseen conditions.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the fireflies trek near Bhandardara.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the fireflies trek near Bhandardara.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers are requested to be punctual and arrive at the pick-up point of the trek on time.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the fireflies trek near Bhandardara.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
