• Goechala Trek

    Embark on this exciting trek where you'll not only get to trek to the high altitude pass of Goechala, but you'll also be treated to the elusive peak of Kanchenjunga, world's third highest peak. On your way to the Goechala, you'll also cross Dzongri and Kanchenjunga National Park. Since you'll be trekking through a gorgeous landscape consisting of sub-tropical as well as alpine forests and lush meadows, with an epic backdrop of soaring peaks, you'll get to explore Sikkim like never before. However, it should be noted that this is not an easy trek as it requires long hours of trekking, making it unsuitable for beginner trekkers.


    Sikkim is one of the most untouched and pristine regions of India, housing spectacular natural beauty and climate ranging from subtropical to high alpine. Sikkim is also home to vast lakes, hot springs, tall mountains, and passes that cut through the said mountains. Goechala is one such high altitude pass that sits at an altitude of 16000 feet. It is located in the Kanchenjunga National Park, near Indo-Nepal border.

  • Day 1 of the Goechala Trek: Arrive at Yuksom

    Arrive at Yuksom before 18:00 hrs, and spend the rest of the day exploring the village. You can also visit the helipad which gives a gorgeous view of the Yuksom, or you can visit the Kangchandzonga National Park. Overnight in tents at Yuksom.

    For cancellation made 15 days before the departure of Goechala trek: Full refund (excluding 15% service charges).

    NO REFUND will be provided if cancellation is made within 8-15 days of the departure of Goechala trek, however, you can postpone the trek to some other departure date or you can book some another trek of this operator only.

    NO REFUND if cancellation is made within 7 days of the departure of Goechala trek

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Goechala.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trek to Goechala to ensure maximum safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the trek to Goechala.
