The Kumta-Gokarna beach trek is a beautiful journey that takes you to the coastal regions of Karnataka as you trek across a plethora of beautiful beaches, tiny hillocks and small fishing villages.
Stretching over 2 days (4 days with transport) this journey takes you through 10 spectacular beaches that come in different shapes and sizes with varied landscapes. Some beaches such as the Half-Moon and Om beaches are actually named so after their shape!
Besides trekking you’ll spend your days sinking your feet into the soft beach sand, catching waves, witnessing golden sunsets and imbibing breathtaking views of surrounding mountains and cliffs. On the night of Day 2, you’ll even enjoy the fun of camping on the Belekan beach, combined with the thrill of embarking on a late night walk!

Located on the coastline of the Arabian Sea, Kumta is a beautiful town that is known for its beaches that are mainly characterized by black rocks, sprawling greenery and surrounding cliffs. During this trip you’ll start off with your trek from the Kumta Beach and hike through the Vannalli, Kadle, Guddeangadi and Nirvana Beach. You’ll end your day at the peaceful Belekan Beach for a night of camping.
The next trekking day of your journey encompasses trekking through Paradise, Small Hell, Half-Moon, Om and Kadle Beach before reaching the much awaiting Gokarna Beach.
The Gokarna region is known or its Shiva Temple which is also known as the Mahabhaleshwara. From the Gokarna Beach you’ll be transferred to the Gokarna Station to catch your train back home.
Although both the Kumta and Gokarna beaches lie in different towns, they both lie within the serene Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka.

No meals are provided today, so do eat a filling dinner before you leave. You'll spend the night in the train. Carry a shawl to keep yourself comfortable.
