    At a soaring height of 14,100 feet, the Hampta Pass trek is one of the best treks in Himachal Pradesh, because it gives trekkers a chance to explore many different locations. Starting from the green orchards and valleys of Manali, this 5 day trek passes through Jobra, Chikha and Balu ka Gheera before reaching the more stark landscape of Hampta Pass. The views become brown and rocky, and you're surrounded by craggy mountains. From here, you'll trek onwards through Sia Goru, and up to the dazzling blue Chandratal Lake. On your way back, you'll get to go through Batal, Chatru and Rohtang pass, making this trek to Hampta Pass the kind that gives you much more than you asked for!

  • Day 1 of the Hampta Pass Trek: Manali to Chikha

    You'll meet your group and guide at the Manali bus stand, and get your briefing for the journey. You'll be driven to Jobra, from where you begin your Hampta Pass trek. It's an easy trek day today, just 2 hours, and is extremely beautiful. You will pass through meadows, rivers and forests of pine and maple before you get to Chikha. You'll be camping here for the night.

    Overnight at Chika

    You'll camp in tents on triple sharing basis. You'll be provided with sleeping bags and mats, and cozy tents. Today's package includes lunch and dinner. You can expect tasty and filling vegetarian food, as well as eggs if you want.

    For cancellations made 30 days or more before the departure of the Hampta Pass trek: 90% of trek cost will be refunded, minus any transaction charges.

    For cancellations made 21-30 days prior to departure of the Hampta Pass trek: 60% of trek cost will be refunded, minus any transaction charges.

    For cancellations made 20-11 days prior to departure of the Hampta Pass trek: 30% of trek cost will be refunded, minus any transaction charges.

    For cancellations 0-10 days prior to departure of the Hampta Pass trek: No refund.

    No show and changes/cancellation on the Hampta Pass trek due to bad weather or natural calamity will be non-refundable.

    Rules on trip

    Trekkers are expected to maintain cleanliness at the campsites and throughout the Hampta Pass trek trail. Please do not litter around and if possible, collect garbage on the way and dispose it off at proper sites.

    Please do not disturb fellow trekkers while on Hampta Pass trek.

    The trek leader's decision is final during the trek to Hampta Pass.

    There is a strict rule against alcohol and drugs during the Hampta Pass trek. Trekkers will be expected to follow it.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Any additional costs due to weather/unforeseen situations during the trek to Hampta Pass, will have to be borne by the traveller.

    The team reserves the right to change the plan in case there is danger involved for the group or whenever the trek leader deem it necessary.

    Any changes/cancellation on the Hampta Pass trek due to bad weather or natural calamity will be non-refundable.

    It is recommended that you avoid planning any onward journeys from Manali on the same day as your return. The road journey back from Chandratal is prone to delays, and you might miss your travel bookings.
