Destination
Har Ki Dun, literally meaning the 'valley of Gods', is a curved valley with towering mountains of the Garhwal Himalayas on either side. At an elevation of 11,480 feet in Uttarakhand, the valley is located amidst the protected forests of the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park. Trekkers to higher destinations in the national park like the Borasu Pass or Bali Pass also make their way through the valley. Other popular destinations in the valley also include the Marinda Tal, the Ruinsara Tal and the Jaundhar Glacier. During the winter months from November to March, the valley sees fresh snowfall almost every week, replacing green mountain slopes with pristine, white snow fields.
