Considered as one of the best treks in Uttarakhand, the Har Ki Dun trek takes you deep into the valleys of the Garhwal Himalayas through a route that is rife with dense forests and vibrant greens.
Over a period of 7 days, you’ll traverse a series of gorgeous landscapes. This includes traversing the forests of cedar, oak and pine; crossing over boulders and streams and passing through many small villages.
Apart from imbibing the rustic charm of this region, you’ll even catch spectacular views of the Dhaualadhar and Swargarohini Ranges, along with astounding views of the Tons and Supin Rivers. But once you reach the hilly base of the Har Ki Dun peak, you’ll get to see the real magic. From such a high altitude, everything from surrounding forests to pasture lands to villages and mountain valleys can be seen through an uninterrupted lens.
With just a few steep patches, this trek is ideal for beginners. It also a great experience that combines natural beauty with the cultural influence found in this region.
At an elevation of 11800 feet, the Har Ki Dun Valley is a high altitude cradle shaped hanging valley in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Known for its rich green route, the layer surrounding this valley consists of dense alpine vegetation with a view of snow-covered mountains in the background. Besides exhibiting breathtaking natural beauty, the route to this valley also encompasses a number of small villages filled with rolling fields of harvest. For this trip, you’ll start with a drive from Sankri to Taluka, from where your trek begins.
Throughout this trip, you’ll be accommodated in comfortable tents equipped with all the camping amenities. Besides this, your meals will be freshly cooked and will consist of breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.

You'll begin Har Ki Dun trek by reaching the serene village of Sankri today from Dehradun. Please note that pick-up and drop-off facility is available at an additional cost.
As Sankri is 10 hour drive from Dehradun, you'll reach by late evening. Once you reach check into the campsite for dinner and rest.

All cancellations should be notified a week before the departure date of the Har Ki Dun trek.
