Experience real adventure in the Sahyadri mountains on a challenging trek to Harishchandragad. You'll be skipping over boulders, climbing up mountain trails, trekking through dense plantations and navigating steep inclines. After clambering over rugged terrain, you'll spend the night in tents set up at the rocky cliffs of Konkankada. The next day, you'll grab amazing views of the sunrise and trek higher to visit the ancient temples and caves of Kedareshwar. This moderately difficult trek to Harishchandragad takes you ascending via the Nali-chi-vaat route and brings you back via Tolar Khind.
Harishchandragad is a hill fort perched at an altitude of more than 4,500 feet in the mountains of the Sahyadri ranges. The fort, located in the forests of the Kalsubai Wildlife Sanctuary, overlooks the Malshej Ghat and the Pimpalgaon Joga Dam. On the horizon, the neighbouring hill fort of Ratangad can be seen in the distance. A major attraction for trekkers is the ancient temple and caves of Kedareshwar.

Arrive at the Kalyan railway station by 22:00 hrs and meet your fellow trekkers. From here, you'll travel to Balipada, the base village of the trek to Harishchandragad, in a vehicle. After a 4-hr drive, you'll arrive at Balipada.
