    The Harishchandragad Trek is one of the most challenging treks in Maharashtra which takes you to the famous Harishchandragad Fort through an exciting route. On this trek, you'll walk over rugged terrain, rocky patches, and steep inclines. But your efforts will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Sahyadri Ranges, its lush greenery and misty clouds caught between the mountains. If you're lucky, you might also catch a glimpse of the Brocken Spectre phenomenon.


    Harishchandragad is a hill fort in Ahmednagar district of India. It is located in the Western Ghats and has a rich history that is linked to Malshej Ghat. Dating back to the sixth century, this fort played an important role in guarding and controlling the surrounding region. And now, it enjoys the prestige of being one of the most thrilling treks in Maharashtra. The famous Konkan Kada (Cobra's Hood) is located on its summit, which you'll get to explore on this trek.

  • Day 1 of the Harishchandragad Monsoon Trek: Depart from Mumbai

    Today, you'll be picked up from Bisleri Junction Andheri at 21:45 hrs and you'll begin your overnight journey to the base village. You'll be sleeping in the bus itself, so remember to carry an extra blanket. You'll be reaching the base village early in the morning.

    For cancellations made more than 10 days prior to the Harishchandragad monsoon trek: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 5-10 days prior to the Harishchandragad monsoon trek: 50% refund. For cancellations made less than 5 days pripr to the Harishchandragad monsoon trek: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco or consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited during the Harishchandragad trek.

    You must stick with your group at all times.

    No damage should be inflicted on monuments or natural environments.

    You must adhere to the instructions of the trek leader at all times.

    Taking photos or selfie near the edges are not allowed.

    Participants are requested to carry trash back to the city and dispose it in dustbins.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    In case of injury, damage to self or property or death during the Harishchandragad trek, the operator will not be held responsible.

    Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control such as natural calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc., refund shall be payable with respect to the given to refund policy.

    There will be no refunds or discounts given for services unused or missed due to traveller's own fault, negligence or breach of terms.
