Embark on this trek which takes you to the historic fort of Harishchandragad. On this trek, you'll explore the historic ruins of the fort, the ramparts and water cisterns, and the ancient cave that houses a temple. You'll also trek to Taramati which is the topmost point of the fort, and the famous Konkankada - the Cobra's Hood. If you're lucky, you might even see a Brocken spectre created by your shadow!
This is a challenging trek not suitable for beginners, and only experienced trekkers must attempt this trek.
Harishchandragad is a historic hill fort located at an altitude of 3500 feet, in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, within the Malshej Ghats. The trek to Harishchandragad is famous for its rugged terrain that consists of rocky patches, steep inclines, boulders of all sizes, and some scary drops on the side. There are multiple routes to reach the fort, but this particular trek follows the Pachnai route, which is not as challenging as Nali Chi Vaat one.
