    The Kalavantin fort or Kalavantin Durg was used as a watchtower, and is located on the old Mumbai-Pune route. The trek to Kalavantin is unique, as the trail zig-zags its way around the mountain, offering some spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This moderately challenging trek is perfect for fit trekking enthusiasts as well as seasoned trekkers looking for a quick getaway.


    The Kalavantin fort is located close to the Prabalgad village, on the northern edge of the Prabal plateau. The area is a nature lover's paradise with stunning views of the surrounding valleys, rivers and streams.

  • Day 1 of the trek to Kalavantin: Base camp trek

    You'll assemble at Panvel ST depot at 15:30 hrs. From here, you'll travel to the base village. Begin trekking to the base of Kalavantin after a brief session of orientation and introductions. | After arriving at Kalavantin base, you can enjoy some night photography, have a delicious dinner, and then retire for the night. Overnight at Kalavantin base in tents.

    For cancellations made 0-3 days before departure of the Kalavantin trek: No refund.
