This Maharashtra trekking adventure combines a fun day trek to Prabalmachi, an overnight camping experience, and a thrilling climb up the rock pinnacle of Kalavantin. You'll hike up through hills covered with lush grasslands, to a campsite on the Prabalmachi plateau. You'll spend the evening around a campfire, and go to sleep in tents. In the morning, you'll wake up to a spectacular sunrise, excited to start your Kalavantin climb! It's a tough climb up narrow rock-cut stairs, but from the top, you'll get spectacular views!
NOTE: The climb to Prabalmachi is not difficult, but the climb to Kalavantin the next day is a tough one.
Located in the Sahyadri mountain ranges, Kalavantin Fort is built on the pinnacle of a rocky plateau. Legend has it that the fort was originally built for a queen called Kalavantin, and it was once considered one of the most dangerous fortresses due to the steep incline of the hills around it.

Assemble outside the Panvel Railway station at 18:00 hrs. From here, you will be transferred to the base village of Thakurwadi by private, shared vehicles. Freshen up at Thakurwadi and begin your pleasant evening trek towards the Prabalmachi plateau. You will reach your campsite in about 2 hours, and can relax at camp. A fun evening follows: a delicious dinner and some campfire fun with your fellow trekkers. Overnight in tents on twin sharing basis.

You'll be picked up at Panvel station and driven to Thakurwadi. Do note that there are no washroom facilities at the top, so make use of the one toilet at Thakurwadi. Once you reach Prabalmachi, you will enjoy a campfire and a hot veg/non-veg dinner around the fire. After dinner, you'll retire to triple sharing tents equipped with blankets and bedsheets.

No refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled due to weather conditions or any unforeseen conditions.
All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.
Smoking, drinking alcohol, and consuming narcotics is strictly prohibited during the Prabalmachi Kalavantin trek.
The trek leader's decision will be final and binding during the trek.
Participants should avoid carrying heavy items during the trek.
