• Overnight trek to Kalavantin

This Maharashtra trekking adventure combines a fun day trek to Prabalmachi, an overnight camping experience, and a thrilling climb up the rock pinnacle of Kalavantin. You'll hike up through hills covered with lush grasslands, to a campsite on the Prabalmachi plateau. You'll spend the evening around a campfire, and go to sleep in tents. In the morning, you'll wake up to a spectacular sunrise, excited to start your Kalavantin climb! It's a tough climb up narrow rock-cut stairs, but from the top, you'll get spectacular views!

NOTE: The climb to Prabalmachi is not difficult, but the climb to Kalavantin the next day is a tough one.

Located in the Sahyadri mountain ranges, Kalavantin Fort is built on the pinnacle of a rocky plateau. Legend has it that the fort was originally built for a queen called Kalavantin, and it was once considered one of the most dangerous fortresses due to the steep incline of the hills around it.
