    Conquer the highest peak in Maharashtra on this trek to the Kalsubai Peak. On this trek, you'll trek through lush greenery to reach the top, from where you'll be treated to the breathtaking views of the Western Ghats carpeted in greenery with numerous milky waterfalls dotted here and there. You'll also get to spot other forts like Alang-Madan-Kulang, Ratangad, and Harishchandragad.

    Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak in the Sahyadirs, at an altitude of 5400 feet. The trail to the top is challenging even through there are iron stairs installed on some parts of the route; the trail consists of some rocky sections that can get slippery in rain, and some steep slopes where one needs to watch their step. Best time to trek to Kalsubai is monsoon, when the landscape is covered in lush greenery accompanied by the grey clouds engulfing the surrounding peaks.

  • Day 1 of the Kalsubai Trek: Depart from Mumbai

    Today, you'll be picked up from the pick-up point by 23:00 hrs and you'll begin your overnight journey to the base village of Kalsubai. You'll reach there early the next morning. Overnight in the bus.

    You'll be picked up from TT Circle in Dadar by 23:00 hrs and begin your overnight journey to the base village. Since you'll be spending the night in the bus itself, remember to carry an extra blanket. You'll reach the base village early in the morning.

    For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the Kalsubai Trek: 70% refund.

    For cancellations made 15-30 days prior to the Kalsubai Trek: 40% refund.

    For cancellations made 7-15 days prior to the Kalsubai Trek: 20% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the Kalsubai Trek: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Kalsubai.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek to Kalsubai.

    A moderate level of health and fitness is required to book this trek to Kalsubai. If you have any cardiac or respiratory conditions, or suffer from knee or spinal problems, please inform the tour operator and consult your doctor before booking the trek to Kalsubai.

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.
