  • Day 1 of the Kalsubai trek: Celebrate New Year while camping

    Report at Kasara railway station at 14:00 hrs and meet your team there. From there, you'll head to Bari via a local jeep and trek to the campsite. At the campsite, you'll relax and explore the surrounding regions. You'll celebrate the coming of the New Year away from the crowd and the noise, with the nocturnal sounds of the Sahyadri forests. You'll then retire into your tents for the night.

    Today's meal package includes only dinner that will be served at the campsite near Bari. Do note that the operator does not provide sleeping bags due to hygeinic reasons, so carry a hoodie or a blanket for the night.

    For cancellations made more than 8 days prior to the Kalsubai trek: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 4-7 days prior to the Kalsubai trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 3 days prior to the Kalsubai trek: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Rules on trip

    Travellers are requested to be punctual in arriving at the pick-up point. Tardiness in reaching the pick-up point will lead to missing the trek.

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Kalsubai.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of liquor, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek to Kalsubai.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks, etc.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the trek to Kalsubai.
