This Kalsubai trek takes you high up to where the earth meets the sky, to the highest peak in Maharashtra. You'll be trekking in the cool hours of the early morning, with monsoon mists and the lush greenery all around.
The Kalsubai trek can be challenging because it takes about 4 hours to get to the top, but it's fun when everything around you is rain-soaked and in full bloom.
Kalsubai Peak stands at a majestic height of 5400 feet, and offers a challenge to every trekker. You'll travel to Bari village, from where your trek begins. The climb has some steep rocky patches, slippery paths, and almost-vertical slopes that require you to climb iron ladders.From the peak, you will get panoramic views of several mountain ranges like Alang, Madan, Kulang, Ratangad, Pabhargad, Ghanchakkar and Harishchandragad, amongst many others.

Do ensure you get to Pritam Hotel in Dadar by 23:00 hrs, where you will meet the Travel Trikon team and board a private bus to Bari village. You'll travel through the night and get to the base village by about 04:00 hrs, early in the morning. You'll rest for a while in the bus, until 06:00 hrs.
Overnight in the bus
You'll spend most of the night on the bus from Dadar to Bari village. Do eat a hearty dinner before boarding and bus, and carry some snacks and a bottle of water with you for the journey. Carry a bedsheet or shawl to keep warm on the bus ride.
