Sunrise trek to Kalsubai Peak

This Kalsubai trek takes you high up to where the earth meets the sky, to the highest peak in Maharashtra. You'll be trekking in the cool hours of the early morning, with monsoon mists and the lush greenery all around.

The Kalsubai trek can be challenging because it takes about 4 hours to get to the top, but it's fun when everything around you is rain-soaked and in full bloom.


Kalsubai Peak stands at a majestic height of 5400 feet, and offers a challenge to every trekker. You'll travel to Bari village, from where your trek begins. The climb has some steep rocky patches, slippery paths, and almost-vertical slopes that require you to climb iron ladders.From the peak, you will get panoramic views of several mountain ranges like Alang, Madan, Kulang, Ratangad, Pabhargad, Ghanchakkar and Harishchandragad, amongst many others.

Do ensure you get to the Bisleri Factory, Andheri by 22:15 hrs, where you will meet the team and board a private bus to Bari village. You'll travel through the night and get to the base village by about 03:00 hrs, early in the morning. You'll rest for a while in the bus, until 05:00 hrs.

Day 1 Milestone

You'll wake up and freshen up in the village, and eat a simple, hearty breakfast here. After a short briefing session, your trek begins. You'll arrive at the peak by about 09:00 hrs, and will have some time to rest, to explore the top and admire the views. After that, you begin your descent to the base village, where lunch awaits you. By 15:30 hrs, you'll leave, and reach Mumbai by about 20:00 hrs. Trip ends here.

Cancellation policy

If cancellation is done 10 days or more before the start of Kalsubai trek: 75% will be refunded.

If cancellation is done 5-10 days prior to the start of the Kalsubai trek: 50% will be refunded.

If the cancellation is done 0-5 days before the start of the Kalsubai trek: No refund.

No show: No refund.

If you wish to transfer your booking to someone else, or reschedule to another date, the cancellation policy will apply, and only the applicable refund amount will be transferred or rescheduled.

Rules on trip

Smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco or consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited on this Kalsubai trek.

You must stick with your group at all times.

No damage should be inflicted on monuments or natural environments.

You must adhere to the instructions of the trek leader at all times.

Taking photos or selfie near the edges are not allowed.

Participants are requested to carry trash back to the city and dispose of it in dustbins.

Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

In case of injury, damage to self or property or death, Travel Trikon cannot be held responsible.

Any adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control such as natural calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc, refunds shall be payable with respect to the given refund policy.

There will be no refunds or discounts given for services unused or missed due to traveller's own fault, negligence or breach of terms.
